Sorry to double post, but I'm, watching the live stream of the UK premiere, and I'm fucking bawling. I'm going to have to bring a bath-towel to the theater with me. They're going to have to have grief counselors on hand.

I just purchased our tickets. MrB is having a minor medical procedure on Friday, so we cannot see it until the Sunday matinee. I can't believe that it is almost here!!!

Oh my Lord, the three "kids" are so BEAUTIFUL.
(Is it just me, or does Daniel slightly resemble a younger Hugh Jackman?)

Well, I saw it today and liked it. As a book-reader, I'm always going to have some nitpicks, because the films can't live up to them, but it was good.
Best bits:
Neville's heroism wasn't downplayed at all, in fact if anything, it was given greater emphasis. And it was awesome.
Emma and Rupert actually had chemistry! Not "smoking hot, ripping each others clothes off" chemistry, but sweet "we're clearly a couple and we fit together" chemistry. They did a nice job of adding little looks and touches to show that Ron and Hermione were together.
When they went back to Hogwarts and we saw all the kids who have played the smaller recurring roles over the years, I got teary-eyed.
The part I was waiting for, Snape's story, succeeded in making me cry. His first meeting with Lily is beautiful. I mean, I didn't like everything they did with the flashback clips, but overall, it was as emotional as it needed to be.
Not so great bits:
I have to say, the final battle was underwhelming. It's SO much more in the books.
The character deaths were pretty rushed. You get about a second to process each one and then everything moves on.
I think my other comments would probably be spoilers so I won't say anything until more people have seen it.

So. jealous. I . can. barely. type. One question though, was the prologue included? I've heard that it's been cut.

One question though, was the prologue included? I've heard that it's been cut. No, it's included. I didn't mind because the ending felt over too soon, especially compared to Lord of the Rings and how long that ending went on. I would've liked to see more characters reuniting after the battle. Re: The prologue. People in the audience laughed when they saw how the characters looked, but it was good-natured laughing. Don't be. I honestly feel mostly sad that now I've seen it, it really is all over.

But you can always go back and see it again. I plan on seeing it in 2D and 3D.

I've gotta see it in 2D first. I think 3D would distract me too much from the little details.
