I've heard that in the last couple years or so, Phillip has gone back to his first religion, Greek Orthodoxy.

I've heard that in the last couple years or so, Phillip has gone back to his first religion, Greek Orthodoxy. We don't want him. Seriously, I've not heard that but I'm now curious about it. How would that sit with his wife being the head of the Church of England? And since this is the Greek Royals thread, to remain on topic: Constantine is an ass. Carry on.

Philip is still Anglican. His religion doesn't matter as long as he's not Catholic, but there are some questions as to whether a post-nuptial conversion to Catholicism would remove someone from the line of succession. The Duke of Kent's wife converted to Catholicism in 93 or 94 and he's still in line because they married in 1960 in an Anglican wedding when they were both Anglicans.

I haven't heard that he converted back, just that he has some of the habits and beliefs, maybe. (Keeping icons, perhaps?)
Topic? What is Constantine doing now?

He's a patron for a couple of charities, and that seems to be it as far as real work.

He's probably still plotting to regain his throne, cuz homes is still in the grips of denial, no matter what he might say.

How dare those upstart peasants think they know better than the great powers of Europe? Erm, yeah, it's not even like the Greeks can claim they're in charge cuz God put them there. Britian, France and Germany put them in power.

And considering that of the three, the British are the only ones with a monarch left (and heaven knows how long that will last) the Crown Prince should get a job. A real job.

To be fair, Crown Prince Pavlos does work for a living--he's a fund manager, IIRC. But, like the rest of the family, he doesn't use a surname.
Honestly, it wouldn't kill them to adopt a surname. If Glucksburg is too...obvious, why not, say, Giorgios (the Greek form of King George, who was, of course, the first Glucksburg monarch)?

I think Glucksburg has a nice ring to it. It's one of those onomatopoeia kind of words, it makes the exact same noise as the sound I hear in my head whenever that family is mentioned...kind of the aural version of a stomach churn.
