Papa Murphy's Pizza (a chain kinda like Pizza Hut, not sure it's everywhere) is doing a commerical promo for their new Cowboy Pizza. (Whatever the hell that is...) We were joking last night that they could hook up with Brokeback for a special marketing extravaganza. Extra sausage, maybe?
ETA: And I totally didn't mean that in a homophobic way. I'm totally going to see this, and I'm all for extra sausage.

VH1 is airing a special half hour Brokeback Mountain program, tonight December 8 at 11:00PM EST. And those pictures from the LiveJournal are hot. December 9th cannot get here fast enough, only 2 hours 9 minutes and counting. Yeehaw.

I'm not expecting this movie to make a whole lot of money, but I wonder how the Culture War Crowd would react if this movie got a sizable straight female following. Will they pitch a fit about the "diseased" sexuality of uppity modern women? Will the pearl clutchers at Concerned Women For America be on heavy rotation on Fox News, claiming that they aren't like those slatterns lining up to see this flick? Will email boxes across America be flooded with bulletins on the 14 signs to look for in one's teenage daughters to insure they don't become HoYay Hags like us?
