I went to see The Corpse Bride Saturday afternoon in Edmonton with my daughter. I was amazed at how many little children were there as it was advertised as it may scare some children. This is way less scarier for children than Pirates of the Caribbean. I really liked it. I know I have to see it again to catch everything as always with Burton's films. I felt like I had just sat down and the film was over. I don't think it is very long. My 12 year old loved it. I liked The Night Before Christmas better but then again I didn't like it that much the first time I saw it. It takes me awhile, I have to watch every single little detail!

I thought it was pretty good, and it took a while for it to grow on me as well. I loved that Tracey Ullman was in it, that was perfect casting. And Helena Bonham Carter surpassed my expectations by not annoying me. I wonder if she did her own singing.

I liked it. Wasn't overly impressed by the songs, but the animation was very well done.
And just for a second, when the crowd of the dead were getting closer to that little boy, and he looks up and says <<"Grandpa?" it even melted my cold, cold, heart.>>
And I didn't hate Helena Bonham Carter after not really liking her in anything since A Room With a View.

Saw this today, and I was disappointed. Hubbyguy liked it though. The songs were forgettable, nothing like Nightmare. Maybe Danny is burned out with all the scores he does. And, for as short as this was [maybe 1 hour and 15 min], it seemed to drag on. There needed to be more story, maybe more about the townspeople. Don't throw things, even if I wasn't impressed, I did cry at the very end. [Beautiful scene.]

I saw it yesterday and thought it was pretty good but not as memorable as Nightmare Before Christmas. It was a shorter story so it seemed as if many of the characters weren't really fleshed out (no pun intended) but it was visually a very pretty movie, especially the last scene.

I finally got Nightmare off Netflicks and watched it last night. I don't get it - I didn't think it was any good at all.
I enjoyed Corpse Bride alot more.

My kids all hated it. I loved it. What does that mean?

I just watched it yesterday and even though I agree it's no Nightmare Before Christmas (not enough memorable songs apart from the one by Bonejangles), I still loved it.
