I cannot say I am surprised. Society still associates being slim with being healthy. In History and Physical reports BMI is front and center. Being thin is associated with being fit, youthful and even more hygienic. I cannot count the times I would hear the terms "neat and trim" used together.

I always heard it as “neat and tidy” which confused me because aren’t they the same?
As for Miss Kate? I wish her the best, but she’s got a lot of competition.

I always thought it was nautical. Neat and trim, your life/this person has things under control and is heading in the right direction with alacrity and purpose.

Her products are indeed Goop-y. There are teas, skin care products, and a fragrance, all quite expensive. The only one that doesn't make overblown promises is the fragrance.

You're not wrong though that society associates thinness with healthiness and even if said thinness is achieved by drugs, cigarettes, laxatives, etc, people would still associate that person with health moreso than a regular exerciser who carries a few extra pounds.
