I think she looks old beyond her years -- closer to 40 than 30. And when you take into account that she has resources that most of us can only dream of it's a testament to the evil of drink, drugs, smoking and partying in excess.

Oh, to live in a world of no conseqeunces.
I'd feel worse for her little girl if I didn't think she was getting raised by her (probably stable) nanny instead.

I think that Kate is going to end up a dead ringer for Anita Pallenberg - an leathery old lady with stringy yellow hair hanging out with 23 year olds. Mind you, Kate has always eulogised people like her and Marianne Faithful and always seemed desperate to follow in their footpaths.
She annoys me a bit - she's constantly praised for her style but she just seems to wear four colours - black, white, tan and gray. She's really not remotely adventerous with her look. I think the only reason she's lauded is because she plays it quite safe and therefore doesn't make many fashion disasters. I also think it's because she's rail-thin and so there's never any unsightly bulges anywhere - that and the fact that she always looks like she's just come back from the beach.
But personally I find her style quite dull. I much prefer Kylie Minogues style - she always looks classy but she likes taking risks and I'm always interested to see what she's papped walking down the street in. With Kate it's "Let me guess.....ballet flats, opaque tights, shorts and a waistcoat? Yep!"

bfrog - I totally agree with what you've just said. I used to think Kate was incredibly stylish and beautiful but lately she's just incredibly tedious. She never takes any risks and I'm sick of seeing her time and again in slight variations on the same outfit.
I think she needs an overhaul - maybe change of hairstyle/colour and dress a little more flamboyantly.
She's totally going to end up like Faithfull or Pallenberg - in fact I can see her ending up with a face like Bardot. I've always thought of Kate as a great beauty but she's fast approaching haggard.

ITA, Bfrog. I like Kate but do find her style - well - not as daring and original as she gets credited for. And I loooove Kylie's style, too, she always looks great.

I think Kate used to take more fashion risks (maybe her relationship with Pete just took too much out of her?) and did earn her Icon status by wearing more interesting pieces in a way that made it seem accessible and right rather than just wacky or trying too hard.

Me neither. I doubt if they'll stop her entering the country though - she'll pass the test somehow.
That is one bad photo of her though. She looks like a man in drag.

Oh yeah, Pete's clean. There are perfectly legitimate reasons for stealing a spoon at an awards night and trying to smuggle it into the bathroom. You picked a real winner, Kate.
