I read recently (probably in the always awful Daily Mail) that Sadie Frost's mom has just been hired to mind little Lila Grace. She is replacing Sadie Frost's siter. I haven't seen any mentions of Sadie in Kate's press lately and wondered if they might be on the outs (especially after her sister quit her job as Kate's nanny) but this makes me think that Sadie might (gasp!) be tired of the partying lifestyle and might not want to partake in any (more) pseudo-orgies for the time being.

I know that they were probably bad for eachother but I always liked the friendship between Kate and Sadie. There were some photos a few years ago where Sadie's dress slipped down and she gave the paps an accidental eyeful. Like a true friend (or fellow coked up crazy... take your pick!) Kate flashed the paps too. I don't know... I thought it was nice (in an unfortunate way).

Lila Grace is cute enough -- I wish she wasn't dressed with the same attempt at fashion as her mom.

I know the US and Great Britain are different countries with different laws (duh) but it surprises me that no legal attempts by family or the ex were made to get Lila Grace away from Kate during her Doherty days and cocaine scandal. Unlike Britney, who was lambasted pretty hard.

In both countries, there has to be a deomonstrable danger to the child before a judge is going to change custody. Simply being a drug addict with bad taste in men doesn't qualify, especially if you're rich enough to provide nannies, chauffeurs, and cooks to take care of your kid when you're to fried to bother. Britney lost custody because she was directly endangering those boys by her own actions (not using car seats properly, driving without a license, driving like a golldanged idjit). There's no law against basically giving your kid to hired help to raise (otherwise the entire British royal family would lose custody). Kate was probably just careful to keep the obvious criminal stuff away from her daughter.

I think I read somewhere that Kate's mom lives with her and, presumably, looks after Lila too. The worst photos I've seen of Kate is the one of her doing coke and the one of her hanging out the window with a ciggie in her hand, neither of which come anywhere close to seeing Brit's vadge multiple times or seeing Brit hauled off to the hospital after a bathroom standoff. I think, if anything, Kate is simply a bad role model and maybe an indifferent mother.

I have to say, as much as I think being a vapid cokehead is bad for your children, it's not abuse or neglect unless you take them along with you while you are coked out or you forget about them and their needs entirely.

I think Lila Grace should just change her name to Patsy Stone, take a flat above the liquor shop in a couple of years and be done with it.

I don't think she really had to worry about losing custody of Lila since she didn't do anything that directly harms her and has a good relationship with her dad, Jefferson. I think even during the drug scandal, Jefferson's parents defended Kate and said she was a good mom to Lila.

Not so much now but I did think she had a great fashion style.
