I have fond memories of her early 90s ballads, especially Can't Let Go. Honey will always be my favourite video, though. She looked slammin' hot in that one. And Fantasy is my go-to song when I just want to feel instantly happy!

A guy I work with, used to work for Mariah back in the day as a sound guy. Said she was really into drugs at the time, and very much a diva. As far as he can tell, someone on her team effed up, and probably hit 'mute' on her track accidentally, then panicked and hit 'unmute' leading to the unfortunate incident. He said she's been lazy for a long time, and more interested in the perks of diva-dom than actually singing,and it's finally catching up with her.

He didn't feel sorry for her. Just her team.... because they probably experienced her full wrath.

What a controlling weirdo. Sure, celebrities need guidance and the occasional micromanagement, but they don't need the very essence of their being controlled. This is why Mariah left and rebelled against him. Now it sounds like he wants to take advantage of the situation and infect her life again.

I think I had read where Mariah had said in an interview that if Tommy were cool and didn't have his foot on her neck (so to speak) all the time, she might have remained married to him.

I'd like to think that if Tommy were still managaing Mariah, this NYE meltdown wouldn't have happened in the first place, and if it had, he would have been able to do better damage control.

Anyway, Tommy is supposed to be happily married to Mexican singer Thalia now. (Tommy seems to have a type. )

I have liked Mariah since she first came out, but these gaffes are not a good look. Whispers are growing louder. Even her brother Morgan expressed concern. I don't want to see her go down the path that Whitney did.

Yeah, Tommy gave that statement from a rotary phone...that's next to the cassette tape that helped discover your client in the first place, Stella!

I heard Stella's teenage daughter is running Mariah's social media by the way.

Totally OT, but back in the mid 90s I had a dream that I was taking the GRE and Mariah Carey was the proctor for my testing room. After the test was over, I went out on the town with Mariah and Tommy Mottola in their limousine. I remember in my dream being surprised at how nice and fun they were and thinking should try to do more with them.

Mariah released a voice message on her facebook page announcing a break from "media moments" and social media. But not before her official twitter page for her reality show Mariah's World (which is run by Mariah's team) posted this poorly timed and poorly thought out tweet.

You know what? I hate and despise Mariah Carey. I don't think she's fabulous. I think she's a fool who thinks she's better than everyone else.

I was all in on her reality show at first, but last night I deleted the remaining episodes and canceled the series. I just don't care anymore. I'm tired of watching her obnoxious assistant bark and cuss at people, and I'm not sure what the whole deal is with the young blonde moronic assistant to the assistant? Nah.
