I was a mad Placebo fan when this came out and only watched it for a glimpse of Brian Molko glammed up. So glad I watched it now! It was just unlike anything I'd ever seen before. A gorgeous glittery film.

I usually love Todd Haynes, but I didn't like this film.

The cast was great though. Especially Christian Bale. That scene where he got caught by his parents jerking off? Damn, I felt so bad for him.

That wanking scene was the most uncomfortable 5 minutes of cinema ever. Not because he's wanking, but because it felt so intimate.

I agree, chiqui; it makes me uncomfortable too. I don't find it hot at all (unlike delicious Ewan), but then I do think Christian Bale is exceedingly creepy and skeevy.

I love Christian but the masturbation scene was totally bizarre. One of the best scenes in the movie, though.

Ewan is completely hot in the film. He is at his sexiest here!

Jonathan Rhys Meyers - don't even get me started. One of the most ridiculously attractive men I have ever seen.

I think this is the first movie I saw that had more male nudity than female nudity.
