Agreed. Roeper and whoever he had on this week really liked it.

Ben Afleck in tights. Only this time getting paid for it. Interesting.

I've heard this is REALLY good, and Ben Affleck is supposed to be great in it. Which is good - I mentioned the other day on the BA thread that I really always liked him. I felt bad about his run of bad luck and bad publicity during the J-Ho era. I hope this movie is a huge hit for him - the poor guy could use it, and deserves it.

I read a review over the weekend -- mostly positive. They said that Ben Affleck is great, which makes me happy. I was surprised however, in that the review said Adrien Brody is merely okay, and then they went on to say that AB is a poser and has not lived up to his Oscar. Ouch.
I want to see this; I'm curious to see if they draw any conclusions. I've always heard rumblings, questioning George Reeves' "suicide."

Unfortunately the movie does not draw a conclusion for how George Reeves dies, but it plays out three different scenarios through Adrian Brody's character on how it could have happened.

I'll definitely go see this if they show Supe standing tall while bullets bounce off his chest but then ducking when the crook throws the empty gun at him. That's classic.

Out of the two HollywoodGoneWrong flicks of the next two weeks, I am far more excited about this one. I really hope it is as good as it should be.
And GR ducking the thrown gun? Is indeed classic. I hope they include that, maybe as a moment where he wonders about his career choices.
ETA- The name bugs. "Land" was removed from the sign in 1949, before Reeves's death, and even before the series (?).

There was a special on it last night on A&E, and I think HBO's doing a First Look tomorrow night.
I have to say, Diane Lane is so my girl crush.

I am ridiculously excited for this movie! And I never thought i would say that about a movie with Ben Affleck in it. Ever. (and I LIKE Ben Affleck)
I have also heard very good things about this movie and Ben's role in it. I can't wait to see it.
