I succumbed to the spoilers. I'm afraid to post my expectations after that article - I don't want to spoil anyone with a reaction!

The Trailer is here. It spoils a tiny bit, but othewise doesn't say or show too much.

Squee!!! I cannot wait to see this. I didn't think it was coming out until the fall so I'm thrilled it's coming out this summer!

So I had a Before Sunrise/set/Midnight trilogy this weekend. I watched the first two on netflix and saw the third in the theater. I think I enjoyed the third the most; it was funnier. I had seen the first one in 1995 (I'm also Hawke and Delphy's age).
What I was shocked at is how much Hawke changes physically between the first and second. In the second one, he looks like a ghoul (I think that was around his divorce to Uma). He just has not aged well. Delpy, on the other hand, basically looks the same.
Also, I didn't hate Hawke's character the way I did in the first two (although how he dressed annoyed me).

I just came back from seeing Before Midnight and absolutely loved it. Wow what a film! I knew the reviews were stellar (97% on RT) but I was wondering if and how Richard Linklater, Ethan Hawke, and Julie Delpy would be able to strike gold a third time. They knocked out another homerun IMO. The dialogue is still real and witty, the acting and chemistry sublime, and the story is a wonderfully realistic look at how Jesse and Celine are doing nine and eighteen(!) years from the events of the 2nd and 1st films. It's remarkable to see how the two have changed from innocent and romantic young 20-somethings to grounded yet still playful 40-somethings.
I guess there was a big of a budget hike over the last movie as the Greek setting is beautifully shot and for the first time ever in the Before Trilogy, there are long scenes with other characters other than our twosome! It was refreshing to see J&C outside of their little bubble and interacting with others. The dinner scene with the eight adults was the exact kind of dinner party I'd love to attend, with great food, great scenery, and great conversation about life and love. And then the movie really kicks into high gear in the last act where a simple night turns into something else. Just beautifully performed between Hawke and Delpy.
Before Midnight is also really funny, with a noticeable uptick in humour over the previous two films. It's a very natural, organic humour that comes with J&C being much more comfortable with each other now that they're together without a time limit on their relationship.
Not to keep gushing but this is the most perfect gem of a trilogy. If they're all game, I'd love to see another installment in 9 years or so!

I'm so excited to see this. I'm loving the reviews and can't wait to get into a theater to check it out.
If they were to keep moving along with the series, it would crack me up to find them aged in an old folks home: Before Nap Time.

Saw it this morning and absolutely agree with Atreides' review. It's a great film.

I saw this yesterday and really enjoyed it. For me it was a little darker (perhaps the 3rd act is over-riding my memory)..... I loved that Julie was allowed to be her imperfect self in this.(Hollywood take note!) I also thought Ethan's character was more sympathetic. Ethan and Julie have sublime chemistry. To me it was a real relationship in all of its glory and heartache. I loved the ending.... and would love for them to keep making these films every 9 years.
And MW... I agree: Ethan's aged very badly these last 18 years.
