Yup, I've got a LOT of love for this movie, we popped in the DVD recently and I'd forgotten how over-the-top ( CAT FIIIGHT!) and snarky funny it is. It made me realise how much I like LiLo's movies, too - my kind of movie with the romance / humour / hap happy ending. Although I went through a big BOO I'm never going to make out on my bed with my high school boyfriend moment with the escape-the-party scene.
One thing I don't like is Rachel McAdams' hair - the big hero shot, Regina the goddess scene completely falls flat for me as I'm like UGH, look at her hair, it looks so dry and horrible.
If you're going to be the Queen Bee of a school, you have to have good hair.

I always wish she could have used Reese Witherspoon's wig or weave or whatever from Legally Blonde---I seem to remember that looking properly luxuriant and Barbie-like.

I agree, the hair was flat, fried and just bad. But her performance rocked. Tim Meadows was also a scene-stealer.

I think my favorite scene-stealer might be Amy Poehler. There's a scene towards the end where Regina and Shane Oman (or whatever his name is) are posing for their spring fling pictures. Regina's mom is trying to lean into them with a ridiculous look on her face.
I also had a friend in elementary school whose mom was just like that, little dog and all.

What? Isn't that just Lohan's THS? I can't think of anything juicy about anyone else. Will totally watch, though. Thanks!

I miss cable so, so much right now.
WAHHHH!.
I wonder if we'll discover anything about Janitor - er, Neil Flynn.
Seyfried's apparently a total doll IRL.
God, the LiLo: ETS done five to ten years from now is gonna be - wait for it - legendary.

I really love this movie. It's one that I watch whenever I want to watch a movie but can't think of anything I specifically want to see--just cause it makes me so happy. I must have seen in 15 times. Come to think of it, most anything with Lohan before Mean Girls makes me oddly happy too. It would be embarrassing to admit how many times I've watched Freaky Friday and The Parent Trap on ABC Family on a Friday night.
ETA: I saw the commercial for the THS and I'm looking forward to it as well.

Regina: No, I know what home-school is, I'm not retarded! So you've actually never been to a real school before? Shut up! Shut up! Cady: I didn't say anything.

The E!THS sucked. It was just old interviews from the Mean Girls press junket. What was the point?
