Long time fan. Any time you don't see her with that over-bleached too-blonde hair, it's a wig.

I like the blue on her, but she'd look better in a softer hair color IMO.

I like the blue on her, but she'd look better in a softer hair color IMO. She looks wonderful with some strawberry blonde in her hair, which is her natural colour. I think she might be overcompensating for a lot of early grey by going with the overbleached blonde every-day look. I hate it. And despite my being a big fan of hers, the perennial very dark/almost black eyebrows do her no favours whatsoever. Here she is in 1983's BMX Bandits. The colour is great on her. |

I think she ruined her natural hair with a lot of treatments and straightening years ago and her natural hair is very thin by now
Unless naturally curly hair is very thick, you can't do tons of straightening without damaging it.
As a fellow curly girl, she has my sympathy.
My hair is thin but the pattern of my hair is that it puffs out a bit so it isn't noticeable.
However I'm very careful, I air dry only, don't color it or do any other chemical treatments.

That's funny, lordofthefries, I was going to post those pics and I was going to say her hair looked fine! Like, obviously the really luxurious curls she had at the SAG awards were not growing out of her head, but for a middle-aged woman who has presumably been hungry for thirty years and been severely bleaching her hair for just as long, her hair is way healthier than I would expect.

Bolded part = me laughing my ass off! Yeah, those pics aren't the best to tell what's the deal with her hair, but I can only guess a lot of actors who manipulate their hair over decades don't have the healthiest locks. She's smart to stick with wigs going forward. |
