Maybe Heath didn't want a baby with Naomi, but once he was with Michelle the whole, "I'm not ready," thing went away.

Sadly for Naomi, sometimes "I don't want to get married and have kids yet" really means "I don't want to get married and have kids with you. Ever."

Not everyone expecting a child was ready to have one. Sometimes, they didn't want one but get one and become wonderful parents.

Not that I feel too sorry for Michelle. If she were having sex with a man who's stated he's not ready to have kids, she (they) could've protected herself more.

You meet a certain person and suddenly you are ready for the whole thing. Hopefully, that is exactly what happened, or the only one I'll feel sorry for is that baby.

actually, I think the deal is that they got careless and this whole pregnancy thing is on big accident. A good accident, I am sure. But I doubt he met her and was like, I'm in love and I want you to have my babies right now. It was an accident. He didn't plan it. He's doing the right thing by marrying her, so I wish them the best. But I DOUBT it's was something planned. Give me a break.

No one said it was planned. I said maybe he did not want to settle down and have children with Naomi. iPlanned or not it is happening. I was just happy to hear him talking about reading books to his child and changing diapers.

Didn't he supposedly also tell Naomi he didn't want to get married? If he and Michelle are engaged, then obviously he wants to marry Michelle, because it isn't 1942 and pregnancy, planned or unplanned, doesn't have to lead to marriage.

I think everybody knows someone who has gotten the, "I'm not ready to settle down and blah, blah, blah," only to have them turn around and be married and pregnant. I have a friend who has gotten the "not ready to settle down" speech 5 times. The guy who didn't want to settle down ends up marrying the next woman he dates within a year's time. It has become the, "Is there someone you want to marry? Let me date them first," joke with her.

I thought Michelle looked gorgeous in the pictures of the premiere. Pregnancy agrees with her.

I like Michelle and I have to say I was a bit concerned for her feeling like he was just staying with her because of the baby. 1942 or not, a lot of men still want to "do the right thing" and make the engagement ring gesture. Are they actually getting married though?

I think Michelle looks lovely too, she looks rosy and contented. Heath looks all protective - awww! Hope it all works out well for them.

I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt on this one. They look happy and I've heard nothing that indicates that either one of them feels trapped or miserable. Just because Heath didn't want to settle down with Naomi Watts, it doesn't mean he's not ready now. There are a lot of people who say they don't want kids at the moment and then become pregnant and, even though it wasn't planned, love the child and are thrilled to have them. There are also people that say they don't want to be married and then turn around and get married to the next person they're with. My cousin dated a guy for 8 years and he always said he wasn't ready to settle down. They ultimately broke up and he was married to another woman within a year. Turns out it was just her he didn't want to settle down with. Anyway, I wish them both the best of luck. And I agree that pregnancy agrees with her, she looks lovely.

There are rumors that Heath has been out and about with other chicks in NYC. A friend of a friend claims that he saw this himself in Brooklyn. Hope that it isn't true.

There are also people that say they don't want to be married and then turn around and get married to the next person they're with. My cousin dated a guy for 8 years and he always said he wasn't ready to settle down. They ultimately broke up and he was married to another woman within a year. Turns out it was just her he didn't want to settle down with.

I don't think ity's exactly that he didn't want to settle down with her specifically - men are weird. It's kind of a pattern behavior with them, too. In the immortal words of Miranda Hobbes (and this sums this up perfectly):

Oh and I too read somewhere (Defamer?) about Heath being seen making out with some woman a couple weeks ago.

She is the best advertisment for pregnancy ever. I am only two years younger and I have already thought about getting knocked up because of how awesome she looks.
