Then she's probably in for a surprise - I don't even think Heath is necessarily set for life. I know he is a famous actor and all, but he's not exactly A-list.

She always comes across as kind of smug to me, like she just knows that Heath Ledger being her babydaddy has her set for life. I liked her on Dawson's Creek, though. Don't think her and Heath will be walking down the aisle any time soon. This whole situation just reaks of "oops" to me. Like it happened as a result of his wanting to have hetero-sex after all of that making out with hottie Jake on the set of Brokeback Mountain. I agree. So many people say how cute they are, and they are, but I cannot help but think about how Heath just up and left Naomie Watts. He seems like the love them for a while, then leave em when he gets bored type. I kind of see that with Michelle too. Was she ever considered a beauty on Dawson's Creek? Because I didn't see it then, and i don't see it now. Something about the shape of her head seems weird to me.

She's not rockin the pretty or anything in my book, but she does seem cool and unfamewhorish. I like her choice in films - Dick, Me Without You, Station Agent, etc.
I think she's got a solid indie career both past and future, so she doesn't need Heath's $$. What she did need was a better-looking baby daddy, though, because the two of them could easily produce one ugly kid.

A bit harsh, and to be honest I think that Michelle has the more promising career of the two of them, in the long term anyway. I'm like Kris, I am pretty ambivalent toward Heath Ledger but I think Michelle seems like a cool, normal person - by H'wood standards anyway. I wish them well though, and think Matilda is a pretty cute name.

I think Heath and Michelle are cute together and I wish them and their daughter the best.

Yeah me too. I also think she's pretty even though sometimes she can look less so. I like her if for no other reason than the fact that in this age of rampant celebrity famewhoring she keeps herself to herself and lets her work speak for itself. I definately can appreciate that fact.

No kidding! It's so refreshing!
I think Michelle has a great career ahead of her 9she reminds me of a young Patricia Clarkson; not in looks, but in acting ability). I recently saw her in a little indie film she did, "The Baxter," and she was great in it. Plus, all indications are "Brokeback Mountain" is going to be huge, so I'm sure that will go a long way to helping her get future roles.

Yes, I think it was an "oops" indeed too after I read so many interviews that Heath was not ready to start a family and settle down etc. Indeed - look at what happened with Naomi Watts. I think Heath is a pretty decent guy though and will do do the right thing by them, even if they don't marry.

Or it could be that Heath just didn't want to settle down, marry, and have kids with Naomi. He didn't have any "oops" moments with her (at least that we know of). This happens every day, a guy says I'm not ready to settle down, have kids, blah blah blah. What it really means is he doesn't want to settle down with the person he is with at the moment.

The two of them as a couple is interesting. I'm curious to see how they are (if they go?) at the premiere of "Brokeback Mountain" this month in Westwood, CA.
