No thread for this yet? I couldn't find one.
I know a lot of people think a movie at this point is a bad idea, but I'm still excited. The set pics of all four of them together made me happy, even though SJP looks like deep fried ass (which is actually normal for Carrie, so no big deal). I'm trying to find spoilers, but this is all I've read/seen pics of so far:
The movie takes place about four years after the series finale.
Carrie and Big are apartment hunting.
Charlotte gets pregnant (I sure hope it's her second baby and they aren't just abandoning the Chinese baby storyline).
Charlotte gets into a fight with Big because she catches him out with another woman, then her water breaks.
Miranda and Steve are having problems due to their stale sex life.
Thoughts? And has anybody heard anything else?

A friend just sent my roommate the complete series box set, so we've been catching up/rewatching on the latter seasons. And the whole Charlotte gets pregnant thing pisses the hell out of me. It was *such* a big deal in the series and now...poof?
I'm totally going to see it, of course, but upon rewatching the finale it seems like all the characters had their arcs completed even if it was in a semi-fairy tale-ish way.
My roomie had never seen the finale and I didn't notice it until she pointed it out, but - Stanford wasn't in it. At all. Anthony was, but not Stanford. Here's hoping he gets some good screentime in the film.

Actually, I never really liked Stanford. I didn't notice that he wasn't in the finale, though. That is weird. I agree, the pregnancy thing pisses me off too. Even if it's her second child, it just seems stupid to have her pregnant now after finally getting to adopt seemed to be the resolution for her. But I don't know, maybe I'll feel differently when I watch the movie. I've also read in several places that the pregnancy set pics might have just been put out to throw people off, sort of like they did with the alternate finale endings.I can't wait to see Miranda and Steve again. I love them soooo much!

One thing I'm hoping is that Sam is not with Smith anymore. She's so much better as a single gal. Plus the actor was terrible.
For some reason I'd also like to see Aidan again. Just a scene or two.

I hated Smith 'taming' Samantha as well. That always rang false to me. I read somewhere that the four guys are all in the film. Kim Cattrall said that she never thought their relationship would last and that 2 weeks after the events of the finale Samantha would have left him and I have to agree with her.

agreed. I feel no need to see this film....I think I've seen it all in stills posted on the net!! Are they not concerned about spoilers getting out at all??

Ugh. Smith. Dull, dull, dull. With that whole "Look at me doing my sexy gaze" method of acting.
Remember when her hair fell out and he started shaving his head in solidarity in the bathroom and she protested and he said "Shut Up"? That was quite possibly the worst, flattest, most embarressing delivery I've ever heard in my life. He always looked bored out of his tiny little acorn of a mind.
As I mentioned on the SJP thread, I saw them filming last week. The spoilers about Charlotte weren't in that scene, that's all I'll say (mainly cos I don't know how to do the spoilertext thing). It would never have occurred to me as a storyline until I came here even after seeing it in action. So it could be a foiler. Either that, or the movie spans a loooooong time from opening to ending, which would be wierd. [doubtfully]I guess it could have been the final scene in the movie I saw filming.......I dunno...[/doubtfully]
I always loved Anthony "HATES IT!", and Stanford was fun before he settled down with that Himbo and got all boring, so yay if they're in it. And I liked Harry, though he was more fun in the start when he was uncouth and hairy and vulgar than later on.
Yeah, I'm still pretty undecided to be honest if I'll go see it. To be honest it might be more of a rental. There were three (three!!) reruns on S&TC on last night in my area, so it's not as if I'm missing it.
