But she had supposedly fallen for the anti-Trey - vulgar, crass, hairy, pushy, unattractive Harry. Yet Harry was loaded, so it wasn't that big of a stretch for her - her life didn't really change at all (except for that silly conversion, which really did feel dumb to me. As Samantha said - "Isn't that a lot of hoop jumping for a man?").
The weight thing was SO ridiculous. Yes, it was supposed to convey that Samantha was unhappy in life - but there was nothing to even see there. And even if she did look heavy, the horrified looks on their faces gave the impression that they weren't just realizing that Samantha was unhappy, but that they were grossed out by a tummy roll. It suddenly made them all seem even more shallow, if that's possible.

I would have found the Harry storyline pretty unbelievable if he wasn't bringing something to the table, to be totally honest. I don't think Charlotte loved him for his money, but I think he had to meet at least one of the criteria she was looking for in a husband in order to keep her interest, at least initially.
The conversion storyline was pretty annoying, but I loved it when Charlotte was trying to have a Shabbos dinner and Harry kept tuning in to the Mets game.

I think Harry was the only guy Charlotte felt she didn't have to pretend to be "perfect" around, she could just relax but yes, she wouldn't have looked twice at him if he wasn't a lawyer.

Can't be right - 3/28 is a Sunday. Frankly, I'd release it March 25, because that SJP's birthday (which I know because we share the date) - it's a Thursday, so not terribly out of line with traditional openings.

I'd be perfectly happy with a sequel featuring just Samantha and Miranda.

Not that it matters, but I was rooting against a sequel and think it's a seriously bad idea. The original movie was a nice thank-you to HBO fans but I really don't think there's material there for a movie franchise. How many times can I watch women coo over shoes and outdated drinks? I'll be passing on this one.

Surely she has time in her schedule for a cameo
