That post just reminded me of how much I love Peter Stormare. He was on the season finale of Body of Proof and he was so awesome, I was bummed when they killed his character.
On topic: More Peter Stormares! A good character actor/actress is a great thing, we need more of them.

Dear Hollywood,
You know what I miss? (No, Duke, why don't you tell us...) I miss a good variety show, like Carol Burnett or Dean Martin or even Flip Wilson. There's gotta be a market for that. I remember sitting on the couch with tears streaming down my face when Tim Conway would go off-script trying to break up Carol Burnett & Harvey Korman . . . he had this one riff about Siamese Elephants joined at the trunk and what would happen if one of them sneezed, and the Gone With the Wind sketch is in the Top 10 TV Moments of All Time.
Surely to God there's somebody out there who could bring those elements together and make that format work. Not everything has to be edgy and/or IQ depleting.

Now tomorrow morning, I'll breakfast in bed, and then get straight up into the tweeds.

Hey, in this Jubilee year, I keep thinking of Carol as Her Majesty: "My belov-ved peasants..."

Dear Hollywood:
A few things. First, if CBS can have their shows on demand the next day and you are able to fast forward and don't have to sit through the same commercials you would have to sit through if you watched the show live, then WHY CAN'T ABC, FOX AND NBC DO THE SAME? On demand doesn't mean I watch the show live, it means I watch the show either without commercials or with limited commercials!
And another thing, STOP trying to make Channing Tatum happen!
Love NC.

What Neurochick said (apart from the thing about Channing Tatum, I kinda like him.)

FNORKI Thanks, chitowngirl. What TV show these days would let a performer go off on his own like that? I love how Tim waits until Carol starts to deliver her next line, which is actually in the script, before blowing her up with his next ad-lib. But is that Dick van D-y-k-e instead of Harvey Korman? I don't remember Dick van D-y-k-e in Mama's Family.

Dick van D took over Harvey Korman's slot after he left the show.

Dear Hollywood,
Make that Dear CBS:
Look, Person of Interest is a really good show, BUT I am no longer going to watch because it's not "on demand" and there are no full episodes on the CBS website. Sometimes I forget to record it, like last night, and because of this economy, some people have to work more than one job to make ends meet and may be working on Thursday nights. So CBS, STOP FUCKING AROUND and put the damn show on demand.
Thank you.
Love, Neurochick
