... and c) there's an easy answer to all said questions so the person has the answers they need w/o the work of having to figure them out for themselves. If you can't think straight b/c your psychosis is messing w/your thought process, then having some answers spelled out right in front of you would seem like the answer to everything.

They might not believe in psychology or psychiatry, but that doesn't mean that L. Ron didn't kludge together bits and pieces of Psych practice.
For example, the whole auditing thing? Take out the e-meter and the possibility that everything is being taped for future blackmail, and you have psychotherapy (the practice of teasing out bits and events from your past that may be affecting how you feel and act now).
That is probably why the Co$ is so hostile to the psych professions; they cut into the pool of those vulnerable to being sucked in by the Co$, and well, they have the whole ethics thing too... A good shrink's job is to eventually make themselves unneeded by the client, whereas the Clams want you to sign a billion year contract of shakedowns.

demoriel, those Jesse Prince tapes are brilliant and scary. I'd never heard of them before, but there's some good reading there. Oh, the crazy.

Some of it was quite surprising... namely that Tom has tried to leave scientology a few times and always managed to get roped back in. Particularly after the OTIII levels, where they let you in on all the Xenu alien stuff, Tom was looking kind of pale and peaky and wanted out, wanted to just "go back to his house in hollywood and forget all this sci stuff" but they backed him off the OT stuff for awhile "hey Tom let's go play bball or watch a movie" and then petted and feted him right back in. I scoff and cringe at Tommy Clam a lot these days. The fact that Tom almost broke away from Scientology, in the past, makes this current trainwreck-orchestrated-by-crazie-clams just a touch heartbreaking. In August 1998, when Jesse Prince was interviewed, J.P. says that Tom was cutting himself off from Scientology. Nicole had stopped digging for clams completely. She was done with it, and this was influencing Tom. From the Jesse Prince interview: Well, I guess Tom's Scieno-break didn't last. I can just imagine the war that raged to suck Tom back into the Scientology fold. Obviously, the Clams won. (Simple Tom was no match for the cult.) Tom filed for divorce from Nicole at the end of 2000. Now I get why Nicole seemed so mystified as to why they were breaking up. It really was another Scientology-devised break up.

And no matter what she does I will always have a little respect for her. It has to be hard to be surrounded by Scientology and not become one. It is hard to be surrounded by a group of people who think the same way about anything and be able to form a differing opinion.

Not to discredit Kidman, but when people are telling you that the human race came from clams, I don't think it's a quantum leap in logic to realize these people are damn near retarded.

But look at the list of celebrities that have fallen for it. I am always surprised by names that appear on the Scientology lists.

This is sort of off topic, but I've been watching the USA series The 4400 and I swear they're ripping on $cientology. The 4400 have a "special center" and certain levels they have to get through. Last week they stole a member's psychiatric drugs because they were deemed unnecessary and they promote wellness through their own brand of therapy and classes. This week they had a celebrity join, because they wanted more exposure. Coincidence? Maybe. Hmmm.

I don't think it's a coincidence at all. They are definitely ripping on $cientology.
