Like Thomas Szasz, he considers himself a leading light in the world of anti-psychiatry. Two psychiatrists who have dedicated their lifes criticizing psychiatry. It's often about arrogance. I think these men like to be worshipped. You know he (Szasz) is a bad cookie when they name a psychotic serial killer and Batman villain after him, hehe...

I don't think Clamhood would become popular in country music- it's too sane for the clams.
Also, Catherine Bell should please shut up and go eat a cookie- without vitamins.

Question: is it just me, or do the majority of celebrity clams appear to be actors/actresses rather than musicians? I know there are some well-known clam musicians, like Beck and Isaac Hayes (which depresses me), but generally speaking it seems as if the celebrity membership is heavily weighted towards actors. I wonder why that is.

Homeopathic=water. The whole idea is that the "memory of the substance" is somehow retained by the water. Hello, basic chemistry? All substances are made up of molecules. Dilute enough, and no molecules of the substance remains. Non-life forms do not "remember,' you freaking morons.
Have any of these people taken a chem or a psych class? What is this, the freaking Middle Ages? The collapse of the Roman Empire silenced science for almost a thousand years. Co$ would have that happen all over again.

To answer your question: 1) No, they don't believe in any classes that aren't made up by psychotic sci-fi writers who simply state something and expect people to believe it. 2) For a very long time the USA has lived by the promise that all beliefs are valid to the extent where if you don't hurt anybody else, it's okay. But now I think can say that some beliefs are obviously too stupid to be taken seriously and we need to start evaluating them. Come on, all this vitamins and water shit is just bullshit that assholes started believing because they were hypnotized by the pretty words that made them feel all intellectual and stuff. These people obviously need to be humilated and burned at the stake.

I have to agree yet again with Monster Zero. There's a valid argument that can be made that all religion is wacky, and we should do away with ALL of them; however there is very little we can do about those religions that have been around for a very long time. But we CAN denounce the cults that are popping up and thriving RIGHT NOW, if only to save our children and our children's children from assuming that these religions have validity based on longevity. I don't want any of my descendants becoming clams, and the only way I can prevent that is calling BullShit when I see it..

Also keep in mind that science classes in certain parts of the US might be taught by the same guy that runs gym class. To wit, for a while my dad was a sub in my school district, where he sat in for the coach who ran the "Intro to Psych" class. At the end of his first class, one of the kids came up to him and said (I'm paraphrasing), "Mr. Babbe, we've never covered neurotransmitters in class before, what you taught us was really interesting!"
Yeah, his mind was blown too.
Also keep in mind that even in school districts were ther is no "evolution war" going on, teachers in the sciences are deliberately avoiding that subject so as not to lose their jobs. I don't know if anti-intellectualism has always been a problem in American culture, but it seems to be on the rise these days...

Yeah, my 9th grade bio teacher told us he was a fellow who, after having a successful career in marketing, "got a call" from Jesus Christ to become a bio teacher so he could deny students any education on evolution. But he was still a cool guy. Except for the time he made us write down in our notes to abstain from homosexual activity to keep from getting AIDS. Anyway, back on topic--and I thought I couldn't detest Lisa Marie Presley and Kelly Preston anymore than I already do.

Well, see, I don't have a problem with joining stupid cults as long as you're an adult doing it of your own free will. You're only hurting yourself. But you shouldn't be allowed to force your cult's beliefs on others, nor should you be allowed to corrupt young children. Science classes in the US are a joke, thanks to the fundies. Hell, a lot of school's a joke. Don't even get me started on history...(And I'm a history major!)
