Topher, NYC is perfectly safe and sound. Except, you know, when we're stabbing tourists in the subway or blowing up our own apartment buildings or mowing down innocent bystanders with our fleet of errant yellow taxis... Life is just more fun if you treat it as a contact sport. ;D
Seriously, come to New York. Between the Sicilian and the Greek and everyone in between, you'll get fed and entertained like never before.

Oh, I am not afraid of NYC. I just never had a chance to go. My ex was very cold, bitchy, rich, Jersey girl who had a NYC is the end all be all/Chicago is lucky to be in the same country as NYC complex.

I love NYC. I visit my sister once or twice a year. I'm going in the fall, Central Park in autumn is an amazing sight. You'd better get in touch with us for a get together, or we'll stab you in the subway, blow up whatever building you're staying in, and run you over with a fleet of taxis. What? Instead of "Paris Hilton" I call her "Parasite Hilton"
Instead of "Jennifer Lopez" I call her "Jennifer Hopez"

... "Ashlee Simpson" is " Asslee Simpson"
... "Jessica Simpson" is "JeSUCKa Simpson"
