Our "official" 10th anniversary date is March 5th. Keep an eye out for a little announcement. Oh. My. God. I've been goofing off, snarking, laughing and procrastinating here with you guys for ten years?!?!?!?!?! Time really does fly when you are having fun. I wouldn't change a thing.

Just chiming in to add that I joined after the great Fametracker exodus as well...so glad I found this place back in 2005! I don't post a lot either but have derived many hours of enjoyment from the wit and intelligence of the more prolific posters.

Wow, 10 years just here? Plus the time I spent at Hissyfit before that? I've 'known' some of you longer than some of my in-person friends (Ripley, I think that I've 'known' you longest.) I don't post as much as I used to, but rest assured I'm here every day.

TrafficChick kept showing me the site during "Pillow-Gate", 'cuz she knew I liked Katie. This was while we were first dating. I signed up shortly thereafter.
You guys threw us a virtual wedding reception that was frankly more entertaining than what we had in real life (dinner with wedding party, and immediate family). It was duly printed out and remains in our wedding photo book.
And let's not forget Traffic's epic live-posting the birth of MissP!

I was more of a lurker on Hissyfit and FT and even here for the first few years. I don't know what went wrong in my life where I post here way too much now (snerk). I do miss some of the old posters, even if they left in a huff. I still wonder what happened to some of them (and yes I know there's another board they went to but I really don't want to join ANOTHER board - lazy).
Somebody mentioned Jaden Smith's Twitter habit of Writing Everything With The First Letter Capitalized and I immediately thought of good ol' Winter Rose who gave many of us hours of entertainment without being aware of it (until the bitter end when she found out) wItH hEr EqUaLlY wAy Of WrItInG. Ahh good times, people, good times.

There was another celeb forum similar to this, with a blue hued layout that I frequented for like a week after FT blew up. Snarkfest? What I remember is that when the Fametracker forums were shutting down, three forums popped up to fill the void, all emulating FT's subject divisions. Somebody who had a website promoting a book she'd written (PX This) appended a FT-clone pop culture section to her black-and-green forums, and likewise somebody with a garish pink Proboards forum dedicated to royalty gossip added on all of FT's subject areas (and here we are, ten years later.) A third group started a new blue forum on Forumer and actually gave it a name reflective of its subject, SnarkFest. I feel like half the FT regulars ended up at SnarkFest, and the other half ended up at CPMCoG. I belonged to both SF and CPMCoG for years, liking them both about equally. Snarkfest moved/shut down/rebooted/relaunched a bunch of times, though--I think one time, it was because one of the mods went crazy and locked all the other mods out or something. I eventually stopped following them because I like to read way more than I post, and while they were a great bunch of people, their numbers had kind of fallen below critical mass for generating stuff for me to read. --sumire, Greecie since March 7, 2005, although you wouldn't guess it from my web presence. I joined Mar. 7th too- which makes us Greecie Twinsies! YAY! But I came over from FameTracker when that site was on the verge of implosion and I could not bare to give up the very impassioned discussions that were being had on the Michael Jackson trial (Yeah, that WAS long ago!) It was very refreshing to find a group of folks who likewise thought there were some serious wrong doings going down in NeverLand that no amount of 'But he did Thriller!' could wipe away. 10 years later, y'all are still mah people! ;-)!!

I joined March 9, 2005. Holy Crap!! I was on FT, got banned for an idiotic reason. Then it imploded and someone suggested here and well, you're a lovely bunch of folk.

I joined 15 March. I couldn't go cold turkey on my Star Jones snark. I don't know what Star is up to these days, but I am glad she led me here.

Ahh good times, people, good times. I am Facebook and IG friends with a lot of the old crew but what is funny is that I have forgotten their handles over the years. What I think is interesting is how anonymous we all were in the beginning but with the explosion of social media, that is not always the case these days. It's still a choice and many posters feel more comfortable staying anonymous but I have to admit that I like seeing photos of fellow Greecies pets and kids and whatnot. I also have had fun meeting several of you IRL over the years.
