Oh gosh, the ads are hilarious! This one just offered up links like Addicted to Nasal Spray?, Percocet Detox and Order Vicodin Online. Heh.

Yep, definitely runs off keywords. The ads will even change according to the topic of that particular page of a thread. For example, on the Michael Jackson thread, if his plastic surgery is being discussed on a page, an ad for rhinoplasty will pop up...but pages later, when people are talking about his computer porn, there's an ad for NetNanny and other "kid-safe" sofware and when the topic is his supposed back pain, up pops ads for lumbar supports and pain relief. You can refresh a bunch of times and even though the ads will change, they'll stay true to keyword.

The algorhythm may even treat usernames as keywords; I've found that ads for holidays and cruises tend to follow me (Vacationland) around if I've posted a lot on a topic or page...especially if I reference travel in my post!

I quite like the ads for this thread, though; it runs 75% drug addiction/25% tiaras!

You keep hitting the refresh button even though you know nothing is happening. You tell yourself, I can finish my school work after a few more minutes of CPMCOG... and then after a few more minutes, you tell yourself that again.

ETA: This place is way better than FT. The people are just as funny, but not as troll-like.
