No one really wants to do it, but I'm going to add Prince Philip to the Death Pool. Not only because Charles visited him, but because Piers Morgan of all people is expressing sympathy. That stopped clock being right twice just fills me with dread nowadays.

This is a sad one. I am guessing Tina Turner. There is a "goodbye" type of documentary that has been done. She emphatically stated she will never perform again.

I wound up on Tina's Wikipedia page after I watched the documentary because I wanted to figure out how old her husband is. I was really sad to read this, which wasn't mentioned in the documentary:

Turner revealed in her 2018 memoir My Love Story that she had suffered life-threatening illnesses.[235] In 2013, three weeks after her wedding to Erwin Bach, she suffered a stroke and had to learn to walk again. In 2016, she was diagnosed with intestinal cancer. Turner opted for homeopathic remedies to treat her high blood pressure that resulted in damage to her kidneys and eventual kidney failure. Her chances of receiving a kidney were low, and she was urged to start dialysis. She considered assisted suicide and signed up to be a member of Exit, but Bach offered to donate a kidney for her transplant. Turner had kidney transplant surgery on April 7, 2017.

That explained why she looked frail at the opening of the Broadway show about her life.

I was thinking the same thing yesterday.

This is what often happens. My paternal grandfather, who was in way worse shape near the end of his life, didn't last two years after my grandmother died.

I don't know--the Queen's mother lasted a good long time as a widow. I think Her Majesty is made of sterner stuff.

I tend to think QEII will be okay as, well. If The Crown and the varied movies have taught us anything, it's that she's not terribly emotional and sentimental.
