Screw the smarties, I have a weakness for muscular and raw meat eating. In particular, Randy Couture, the Ultimate Fighter.

I'm not embarrassed by my crushes exactly, but they're not your usual I Lurve Brad Pitt/Tom Cruise/George Clooney ones.
Al Gore - Tipper is one lucky gal! Bill Murray is the sex. Lurved him since he was on SNL in the 70s. Joey Ramone (God rest his soul) - the man shouldn't have been sexy, but he was Robert Smith of the Cure - just so very adorable Billy Bragg - I think it's the accent
My first crush was Peter Tork of the Monkees but I think his groovy clothes that caught my eye

Ooo, MCat15, I am right there with you on the Billy Bragg love, for 20+ years now. Met him a whole bunch of times (pre- and post-fame; I first discovered him when he was still a street busker in London) and he's just a charming, smart, funny, nice guy...very genuine and committed to doing his thing, both politically and musically. Kind of beaky looking (like a scrawny bird), kind of short, but still...inexplicably hot. I'd do him in a heartbeat.
Also met Joey Ramone, waaaay back in the day (when I was a mere teenager and they were still CBGBs headliners), and...sweet, surprisingly articulate, and yes, kind of hot. In a non-standard attractiveness kind of way. Super tall, scrawny legs, no chin to speak of, and insanely, innately cool. I thought he was dreamy.
Once upon a time (mid-'80s) Bill Murray went home with a friend of mine (she used to bartend on Martha's Vineyard and often hosted afterparties). Billy passed out on her couch, drooled a big puddle, looked like 10 miles of unshaved, pot-bellied bad road, and yet, she said he was doable (though she did not, in fact, actually do him--he's married and she doesn't go there). She took pictures. They're hilarious.

Vacationland - Billy Bragg is just oozing with the personality, isn't he? I've met him twice - once in the 80s and once the 90s, but he's so smart and witty and charming, IMHO, it more than makes up for any lack in the looks dept. Definitely proves you can be politically committed and not be all dour and humorless.
I met Joey Ramone back in '83 when the Ramones played to whopping crowd of maybe 50 people. I'm afraid I wasn't my most coherent best as I'd been feeling the Joey lurve since I saw Rock'n'Roll High School a few years before and was more than a little awestruck meeting him, plus I couldn't get rid of my albatross, I mean boyfriend at the time aka my sophomore mistake, so I could actually chat with Joey without albatross trying to act cool.
Too funny about your friend and Bill Murray - bet those pictures are a riot. I don't know what it is about the guy. Rationally, I know he's not a particularly good-looking man, but then I see him and I just want to jump his bones.

Embarrassing political crush: Vladimir Putin. Can't quite put my finger on why. Then the crush that has been the source of many hours of amusement for my friends: Dan Patrick. Just something about his voice and the way his eyes always look like he has a really juicy secret and he'll tell if you treat him very nicely.

treyother, word on Dan Patrick. I loved it when he was teamed with Olbermann. They were a great team -- very funny, and they brought the HoYay!

My first celebrity crush was on Kirk Cameron, I was like 11 I think. And thanks to your bravery I can say my ECC extends to Ryan Seacrest can't explain why, something about him - I'm such a loser. And Conan O'Brien. I also have a crush on David Anders as some of you have mentioned, but not embarrassed by it at all. I love me some Sark.

Vladimir Putin treyother? OK, I think you beat me in the loves-slightly-scary-guys stakes, heh. That dude is seriously, seriously scary. I am afraid of him through my TV. Whenever I see footage of him with some world leader I'm always half expecting him to knife the guy in the chest or poison him or something.

BaseballGirl, do yourself a favor and buy Dan and Keith's book. It is excellent. (No, I'm not a paid shill.) Foxfair, the only time I see Putin is when he's with Bush, and he's always genial looking, when I seen him. I've never heard him speak, though.
