I said it before and I'll say it again, this is the reason stars have panic rooms. I can see in a few years time the whole of LA, or West Hollywood at least, having a Berlin Wall built around it. Not to keep people in but to keep the crazies out. With a sign at the entrance saying "You Have To Be THIS Sane To Enter"

I just placed an order for two, one for my house and one for my office.

Holy shit. This one is especially troubling. Some highlights: Oh, there is so much wrong with that person that I don't even know where to begin.

Even worse was the site/LJ whatever (saw it once, never went back there) in which Viggo Mortensen was the rapist and Orlando was his victim. I know they stick disclaimers at the top of the page but you'd think they'd still get sued for defamation of character! Freedom of speech, and not to mention, it's not like they are passing it off as real. Don't like it, don't read it! I'm not into slash whatsoever so I don't read it, but I like me some good smut.

People are allowed to do all sorts of things. It doesn't mean we can't comment on their creepy weirdness.

A "shipper" (derived from "relationship") is someone who wants to see a romantic (as opposed to just sexual) relationship develop between two fictional characters, and who will often break their little, figurative necks trying to read into scripts or stage directions evidence pointing towards the existence of such a "ship". So, for example, in the X-Files, you had alot of Mulder/Scully shippers. In Buffy, there were pitched battles between Buffy/Angel shippers and Buffy/Spike shippers.* While most shippers are benign, some get obsessed a tad too emotionally invested in the whole thing and incredibly hacked off (like, foaming-at-the-mouth angry) at any real or imagined slight on the viability of the ship to which they are dedicated. No, I don't know why. I'm guessing Freud might provide some insight, though. Wikipedia has a longer explanation here.*I understand that in the shipper universe, the X-Files and Buffy the Vampire Slayer had some particularly rabid shippers as fans of the shows, but I don't know for sure if they attracted a larger proportion of the crazies than other shows. It sounds as if the Harry Potter series has a goodly number of pretty intense shipper-type fans (with various ship preferences), too.
