Anderson Cooper was filling in during one of Kelly's workout segments that was nothing but sexually suggestive moves. It was like she was trying to embarrass everyone and Anderson saw right through it and refused to participate.

It was like she was trying to embarrass everyone and Anderson saw right through it and refused to participate. If you put in "Kelly Ripa workout" on YouTube, you get a whole page of results. I think she would do workout segments everyday if they'd let her.

I was watching ET the other day and they were talking to an actor about his weight loss/diet and exercise secrets (of course) and he said that most of his workouts come from chasing after his kids, which made me roll my eyes. I swear I've heard this from celebs about a million times in the 15 or so years that I've been paying attention to the entertainment world.

Celebs must have some really fast kids.

Yeah, they put the kids on Phen-fen so they have to chase them around a lot.

No kidding. If chasing kids caused massive weight loss, why are so many moms and dads overweight?

I don't have an opinion on Kelly Ripa either way, but she does seem obsessed with working out. It reminds me of Jane Fonda back in the aerobi-sizing days. It's like these people have never heard of moderation in all things.

There is an article in US Weekly this week about how Jennifer Love Hewitt lost 18 pounds in 10 weeks. Two hours of exercise a day + 1200-1500 calories. Probably the most honest celebrity weight loss article I've ever read.

Did JLH need to lose 18 lbs? Unless she bulked up of late, she always looked slim enough to me.
At least 18 lbs in 10 weeks is normal and achievable for a regular person.

Aside from the 2 hours of exercise a day, her diet seemed pretty reasonable and healthy. I just don't know who has that amount of time to devote to exercise. I'm lucky to get a 30 minute walk!
A few months ago, there were some pictures of her looking chunky in a bikini. She claimed she was a size two, but I think she was more like a six. I know, what a whale!
