I witnessed total hypocracy in regards to weight in Hollywood/diets when I watched The Insider this week: one minute they were talking to a celebrity about how sad it is that there is still a pressure to be thin in Hollywood (using the girls on 90210 as an example) and the next they were talking about Rumer Willis' slimmer body and how great she looked, despite the fact that she looked almost as thin as the 90210 girls.
I don't watch the other entertainment shows so I don't know if they are as hypocritical about this issue as The Insider/ET seem to be.

John Goodman has trimmed down a fair bit. A few more pounds, and he's almost Chris Cooper-esque.

Good for him! I've been watching Treme, and I caught an early Roseanne episode a few months ago, and the difference in his looks was surprising. He's always been a big guy, but he didn't look too healthy lately carrying around even more weight now that he's older. Speaking of weight loss, I mistook Jennifer Hudson for Brandy when looking at a photo too quickly in one of the tabloids a few weeks ago. Weight Watchers is really working for her.

And now she's done it. Due to her overexercising (no, seriously.), she BROKE HER HIP.

Eh, that's pretty common in hard core athletes. I've had stress fractures, supposedly a lot of people who think they had bad shin splints actually have small stress fractures too.

Stress fracture of the hip is far more worrisome than in the shin or foot (my post was worded poorly, but my alarm was more about the location of the fracture.) Combined with her notoriously low weight, I find it troubling.

She's putting a tremendous strain on her body by being underweight and overexercising the way she does. At her size, she could cut her workouts from 7 days a week to 3 days a week and still be in good shape.
Honestly, I feel for her. I think she gained a lot of weight during her first pregnancy and the criticism she got for it really messed with her head.
Now, can we talk about Julie Bowen? She's getting scary thin.

If her head is still messed up what will she do in reaction to this injury, though? If she is told she needs to cut down on the exercise will she cut down even more on eating to make up for it? At 40 she will likely put on more pounds than she would like from having to stop exercising cold. Slow metabolism sucks!

Honestly, I'm surprised she's still alive sometimes. I still remember her "diet" - coffee for breakfast. Then a small handful of almonds for a snack. Then half a sandwich. Then salad for dinner. Between the low calories and heavy exercise, her face is getting sunken and she's so bony. They rag on her constantly on TWOP - calling her a teenage boy. I just think it's sad that something has f'ed so badly with her head. Her husband seems like an incredibly vain character with his sparkling white smile... maybe he puts pressure on her?
