Someone told me I look a lot like Michael Buble and, sure enough, I do. If only my vocal cords resembled his...

When I was younger (and thinner) I used to get Finola Hughes and Shannen Doherty. I knew I was old when one of my great-aunts thought she was complimenting me not to long ago by saying I looked like Rosie O'Donnell. *kills self* However, the worst? Back in the late 90s, I bore such a supposed resemblance to a certain scandal-related figure that my own mother used to double-take when she saw her on the news. But the worst was when my brother Sugarbear came to visit me and The Husband-Type Man in NYC, and we were taking him to visit the World Trade Center. I hate heights and elevators, and was feeling queasy. My brother, concerned, leaned over to ask me "Are you feeling okay?" I shook my head. "Don't worry, I'll take care of it." Awww, how sweet! My brother loves me! So when the elevator doors opened, he starts holding people back, yelling, "Please step aside. Miss Lewinsky? Miss Lewinsky? This way, Miss Lewinsky." To make matters worse, I was wearing a blue coat and a black hat that looked like a beret. The elevator was full of Asian tourists who just cracked up laughing and chattering. "*blahblahblahblah* Lewinsky! Hahahaha! *blahblahblahblah*"

People tell me that I resemble Melissa Joan Hart minus the wonky eye and when I was younger people thought I looked like a young Jodie Foster. Now, the two women look nothing alike, nor do I think I look like either one of them.
I have long blonde hair and blue eyes, so people tell me all the time that I resemble someone they know. Apparently, all blonde people look alike?!

When I was in high school and Blossom was popular I got Mayim Bialik a bit, probably because we both have big noses and long light brown hair. My face is more round than hers, though. Thank [diety] I've grown into my nose a bit since then!

When I was 12, the movie Cocktail was hot, I got Elisabeth Shue (it was probably my Sun-In and spiral-permed bob that did it). When I was 16, someone told me I looked like Lori Laughlin from Full House (I think it was the light brown hair and dark eyebrows).
In my adult life I've gotten Gillian Anderson (from my days as a bottled redhead), Britney Spears (god knows why, since I don't have that gleam of a dumb dog in my eye), Melissa Joan Hart (minus the wonky eye and the fact that I'm brunette), and once in a while Drew Barrymore (I don't see it, but she's cute, so I'll accept it anyway).

I've been told Cybill Shepherd (pre-Moonlighting), Liv Ullman, and "Emma Thompson - if she were pretty", which I think is pretty snarky.

MaryWebGirl, my sister actually got mistaken for Mayim Bialik in a movie theatre once. You're not my sister, are you?

Once in high school I got Terri Hatcher, because we had the same hairstyle (this was the days of Lois & Clark). I don't really see a resemblence past our matching hairstyles (at the time). Once later in college I had someone tell me that I looked "like the girl from that movie To Die For" I was pleased to think that someone thought I looked like Nicole Kidman (even though I was also fairly sure he was admitting he had glaucoma) but it turned out he meant Illeana Douglas, which did not please me. Most realistic one that I was probably told was Sarah McLachlan. I'm OK with that. We have probably the same eyes and when my hair was that short and highlighted, I was told that I looked like her a few times that summer (Lilith Fair was going on so she was all over the place).

I've never been told I resemble anyone. Ever.
I'm pathetically thrilled that Kate Bosworth is on the scene now, especially in the Revlon (?) ads plastered all over the place, as we have the same eyes. The only difference is that I have brown pigment in my left eye and I'm pretty sure hers is in the right. Lame, yes, but it's all I have.
