Was at my grandmother's funeral this weekend, and afterwards my cousin related to me that a friend of his had come up to him and said, "You didn't tell me your cousin was a movie star[/color]." I personally wasn't thrilled, since she makes my skin crawl, but I can't divorce her looks from her voice/general annoyingness. I also got Kelly McGillis once in college, but I think the guy was just trying to pick me up.

In my younger and thinner days, nice old white ladies always thought I looked like Sinbad. I don't see it , but I guess it is better than looking like Mike Tyson!

I was told I look like Sarah Michelle Gellar. I don't see it ! More her early Buffy days or her All My Children days.

For my entire life, people have been telling me I look like Christina Ricci. When I was little, I was thrilled because I wanted to be just like Wednesday Addams. Now, I just don't see it at all. She's a very tiny, small person, and I am *ahem* not. But I was in a furniture store with my mother a few months ago, and one salesperson said to another, "Ohmygosh! Doesn't she look just like Christina Ricci?" So I guess there's still some kind of resemblance. Hey, if people mistake me for someone who's a size zero, I'm not going to protest too much.

This is from Duke's College Years (coming soon to a theater near you) but I was in line at a Wendy's once with some friends and a kid in front of us whispered to his buddy that the guy behind him, ie. me, looked like "that guy from Star Wars." So one of my friends says out loud, "Yeah, Chewbacca."

In HS, I was told I looked like Tiffani-Amber Thiessen a couple times, which I didn't mind at all. In college, I was told I looked like Rosie O'Donnell, which was weird because A) I was still skinny then (maybe the people could tell I was pushing maximum density) and B) that's not really a compliment. I mean, I quite like Rosie but still, there are a hundred people I would rather look like! It actually kind of makes sense, though, since we have the same heritage. Recently, I was told I looked like Kim Novack of whom I had never heard. I looked her up on IMDb. I don't see it but she's pretty so it's all good. :-) Anyway, this is me: This is me

Hmm, well someone who worked at the Video Store told me I look like Amy Smart. Maybe it's the nose?

Since he started going a bit thin on top, my husband is constantly being told he looks like a younger Kevin Spacey. He has now stopped taking the dog for his evening stroll on our local common.
I occasionally get told I look like Neve Campbell, which I can kind of see.

Speaking of Spacey lookalikes, there is a seriously creepy one who I run into everywhere. A couple of times I've walked into a Starbucks, got a coffee, sat down, and looked up to see he'd taken the table next to me (frighteningly, he does this even when there are plenty of other tables available and he doesn't have to sit next to me). Freeeeaks me out. He'll occasionally smile or try to strike up a conversation, but all I can think is that the killer from Se7en is out to get me. Going to tally my sins now ...
I don't think I look like anyone, but I've had people insist I'm a dead ringer for everyone from Shannen Doherty (great) to Neve Campbell. For months, a really odd co-worker called me "Neve" and I had no idea why. I find it's best not to ask scary people too many questions. Finally I couldn't stand it, and I asked. He said it was because I looked so much like her and he'd forgotten my real name. Yeah, weird guy.
The best one I've ever gotten was a comparison to Isabelle Adjani (gorgeous!). A friend of mine and an ex both insist I look like her. I'm half her age, and I only wish I looked so good! There are similarities I guess -- dark hair, oval face, tiny nose -- but I think I'm missing that "le sigh!" quality. Damn.

One of my high school friends thought I looked just like Winnie Cooper from the 'Wonder Years' (We both had brown hair?)
Another time I was told that I look like Fiona Apple (yay, i wish!) while working, but I later saw that guy hitting on two of my other co-workers, so I take that with a grain of salt.
