New interview with Jenna. I like her. She's self-aware and articulate.

I haven't had an opinion about her one way or the other, but this impressed me:

Asia Carrera. Not so much because of her ... acting ... but because of how she comes off on her website. She appears to be a genuinely cool person. She is interesting, but the bit about her husband being/not dead is bizarre. Does anyone know more about this?

I'm lost (in a good way) reading Carrera's site. So much info, and she's pretty straightforward about her life. But where's the part about her husband? Are you guys saying Don Lemmon did not die in an accident?

I read through her posts on her site, and yes, it's pretty clear - her husband's dead and he died in a car accident, and that's coming straight from her. Was there something else that someone else said?

I read through her posts on her site, and yes, it's pretty clear - her husband's dead and he died in a car accident, and that's coming straight from her. Was there something else that someone else said? When I googled about them (okay, okay, I was bored), there's a bit of discussion here and there about people wondering why she started begging for money on her website right after she was informed of his death, despite protraying herself as being quite financially savvy/secure, how the only information of his death came from her (apparently the only news people could find of his death was a paid obituary), among other things. I'm not doubting her grief and loss, and she must have gone through hell when she lost her husband, but I'm just a little bit taken back on the whole drama and all. I mean, whoa. I just wish she hadn't posted pictures of her kids on a website that has numerous pictures of her in various stages of being naked (and a direct shot of her girlie bits?), though. That's not the most intelligent thing to do, I don't think.

Oh, thanks yuna.
On her bio page, she showed 3 pix of herself as a 10-year old, teenager, then, partially nude adult. I could see some disturbed guys fantasizing about the 10 year old version of her, but maybe that's just my brain.

I haven't been to this board in awhile so I'm just replying to some posts from awhile back For me it doesn't matter. I don't view them as prostitutes per se, just as people who earn money by having sex. So it doesn't matter much whether they do it with ugly guys on camera or with the same guys in private. It doesn't ruin the mystique because they don't really have a mystique for me. As far as sex jobs go, I don't really see porn and escorting as the same thing, even though they both involve having sex for money. In porn, you probably are paired with attractive people (at least in gay porn), and it's a somewhat controlled environment. And from I understand, many porn actors consider porn as a fun side job, but they still have day jobs. With escorting, you could be having sex with someone totally gross, and it could be potentially dangerous, going to a stranger's hotel room. Of course, that's just my perception and for all I know, escorting could involve having sex with gorgeous people in a safe and fun environment. bstewart, did you ever talk to that director about Marcus Allen? I'm curious to know what people in the industry think of this story. I'm also wondering if this story will go mainstream. I don't agree at all. To me someone who gets paid to have sex is a prostitute. The fact that porn performers do it for the camera is inconsequential, they get paid to have sex, period. The fact that they can sell a video and let others watch them having sex is of course part of the job, but they wouldn't be paid in the first place if they did not have sex.

The LJ brouhaha made me wonder what the regulations are for porn, and if you guys would know. Can of age actresses play underage characters, or are producers banned from that?
