I went to see Snowden last weekend with a group of people, and beforehand we were talking about conspiracy theories. One woman I was talking to told me, in all seriousness, that LBJ was behind the Kennedy assassination and that he met with a bunch of Texas oil barons the night before to plan it out.
I've never heard that particular theory before, so I was kind of stunned and just changed the subject before I could call her a moron. Has anyone else heard that one?

I have not...but of all the theories I have ever heard, it's probably the stupidest. What was LBJ's motivation?

That's great! 1) I can believe the evidence that Stevie Wonder isn't blind (or isn't quite as blind as he is assumed to be). 2) JK Rowling/Emily Bronte - that's pretty typical. People love to speculate that successful female writers couldn't possibly have written their own work, some man had to write it for them.

I don't usually buy into conspiracies as a rule, but the highway collapse in Atlanta, caused by a homeless man smoking crack under the bridge? I'm not buying it.

Anyone want to join me in a little conspiracy theory speculation about Anthony Bourdain's death? Full disclosure, I am wrecked about his passing and having a hard time with it. I am in the denial stage, vacillating in and out of the shock stage. So I've jumped into some weird little rabbit holes online... Here are a few options I've read - I am hoping no one gets angry with me for this post, I know Occams Razor says he died by suicide and I am not by any means trying to lessen the mental health aspects of the situation, I guess part of me just wants there to be another reason. - Murdered by Weinstein cronies for being too vocal about #metoo movement (why him though and not Asia?) - Diagnosis of Parkinsons, decided to end things before they got worse - Auto-erotic asphyxiation gone wrong - Some other murderous situation since he was very politically vocal, maybe having to do with Putin... Whadday'all think?

I saw a video going around about Bourdain and Kate Spade's suicides being fake, and didn't even bother to watch it. I can almost squint and see the Bourdain stuff--Weinstein/Trump wanted to silence him. But who did Kate Spade allegedly piss off? This stuff is getting weirder and goofier.

Vigilant Citizen is 10 years old and celebrating with a self-chosen Top 10 list of articles. Make of them what you will. The conspira-web ain't what it used to thanks to ultra-politicization (people who pride themselves on questioning truth are an excellent target for mass manipulators bent on power - the irony is so very rich), but I take a weekly look-see at this site. One of my favorite internet pastimes is to take an interesting and/or plausible conspiracy theory and seek out legit sources to explore it more and fall into a rabbit hole I can safely climb out of and I'll be damned if Comrade Alex Jones and his Army of Assholes takes that away from me.

Interesting site. I'm not sure about all the occult conspiracy stuff, but those genderless children's clothes and images are creepy.
