I've always had a thing for Mr. Bhaer from Little Women, and this was long before the movie with Gabrielle Byrn. There was just something charming and stoeic about him.
There is also something that is very appealing about Marcus Flutie in Sloppy Firsts and all the other Megan McCafferty books. I don't think he's someone to have a sustained relationship with, but a fling with him could be a lot of fun.

This is so embarrassing, but I was in love with Marco from Jackie Collins' "Chances" when I was a kid. Prior to, Teddy from "Little Women" owned my heart, and I thought he was way to good for Amy.

I loved that book, monkey. I read it with my 7th grade class one year. On the other hand, did you ever read Up a Road Slowly? I could never get through that one. And word on the Professor Bhaer love. Much more appealing than Laurie.

I loved Marco too Peggy Lane. I much preferred him to Lenny for Lucky.

It's good to know I'm not alone. Lenny ALWAYS bugged me. Gino, btw, was also smoking.

Yes Gino was smoking. So can I assume you will be getting the latest Lucky book? I just pre-ordered it. I pray she doesn't kill off Gino even if he approaching his 200th birthday lol.

There's a new Lucky book? *scrambles off to order* I'm sure it'll be another crap-fest, but... well... it's summer!
Lennie was a putz. But so was Mr. Bhaer. ;D

Vendetta was the last Lucky book I read, so that means that this summer there will be two Santangelo books for me! You know how people are always talking about rereading the HP saga before a new book? Maybe I'll reread the Santangelo books...or at least "Chances" and "Lucky." The others sort of sucked.

We're counting authors, right? Because Reza Aslan is totally my fantasy public intellectual boyfriend. He was on the Daily Show recently and is still as nerdy and snarky and cute as ever.
Crush aside, I can also really recommend his book. It's comprehensive, but written well enough that it felt like it only took 20 minutes to read.

Not a crush on a character, but an author. I just read Neil Gaiman's Stardust and Smoke and Mirrors and was blown away. It's not the first work of his that I've read, but every time I read his writing the love is re-kindled and I can't stop raving about him for days.
