Lessee:
Joe Willard- he's so nice! Even though blonds aren't usually my type. Miles Vorkosigan (Lois McMaster Bujold) he'd be hilarious, if exausting. Lord Illvin from Bujold's Paladin of Souls- He's funny and so very hot. And smart. And hot. And nice. And hot. And now I have to go reread PoS tonight. Persuasion's Captain Fredrick Wentworth (that letter!), Eomer, Aragorn and- brace yourselves- Gimli. Though that's more from the movie, I think- it's the beard. And the sense of humor.

Rhett Butler of course! He'd be so freaking good in bed.
And I wanted to marry Atticus Finch and be Scout's mom.
Manly Wilder, I mean, he's named MANLY!
Gilbert Blythe in the married years.
Sherlock Holmes. Also suspect he'd be skilled in the boudior.
Mary Ann's dad in BSC. Cause I'm a dork.

Ah, yes, I forgot about my enduring love for Atticus Finch. He's one of my favorite literary characters ever.

Someone mentioned Dream/Morpheus from Neil Gaimans' Sandman upthread, and I just have to second it. So pale, so interesting, so tortured. Sigh.

If I'd read Cold Mountain before I saw the movie I'd be crushing on Innman. As it stands, I just see skank and sleaze when I picture him.

I did crush on Inman for a few days after reading the book ( and Jude Law, too, to be honest, but that was before the media revealed how sleazy he is).
I've read many romance novels, some trashier than others, but I've never once crushed on any of the characters. However, I'm reading the Slightly series by Mary Balogh, and I have such a crush on the oldest brother, Wulfric. The seemingly cold, unemotional, always in control of himself but with a secret, very hidden strong emotions and feelings...Sigh....I know I wouldn't want a guy like that in real life, it would be so difficult to be in a relationship, but in a book or movie, it's always those characters that I fall for. I think the only one in the series I haven't read is his story, and I almost don't want to, because it might ruin my view of him.

Oh my god, YES. Mad crushes, and I couldn't ever decide who I loved most. I'm pretty sure, thought, that I thought I could fix them. Sigh.
Hell yes. I always felt guilty, that as a smart, book loving, believer in equality I should techinically love Ashley. Never happened. Rhett was awful. Awful. And yet I wanted him.
I love Manly, but Cap Garland was my absolute favorite. Sometimes I regret the internet, because I could've done without knowing how his life ended.

I had to go look up Cap Garland because I did not know that, and now I'm very sad. Poor Cap!
