It's hard to get them abducted! I've only had it happen twice, but I've tried with dozens of characters. The other time was when one of my vampire characters got abducted. Man, morning sickness is not cool when the sun is trying to set you on righteous fire!

Five per cent chance? *whine* I don't play nearly enough for that to happen (it's on my boyfriend's computer). Booo.
Has anyone ever managed to have 10 kids? The only way I can see doing it is if you start with four right off the top. Or maybe even five, and pick up a significant other (to get more kids) partway through, after the kids leave home. Maybe make them teenaged kids, so they can move our earlier?
I haven't gotten any vampires, either. I obviously need to play Nightlife more. I went to the vampire club but didn't stay long. Are the vampires fun to play, or do they suck? (Pun not intended initially, but hee hee.)

Yeah, I managed to get ten kids-- you have to send the teens off to college right away to make room in the household. It helps to get twins or adopt. And it's hell.
Vampires are fun-- they have to sleep all day and they don't age, but they are quite the novelty. I like infecting people. If you want one in the game make a Sim that's turned on by Vampires. Call up the gypsy and ask to be set up on a blind date (do this at night). If you pay her well you'll probably get a vampire. Let the seducing begin!
Man, I am really bogarting this thread! I obviously need to put the game away and do some real living. Heh.

There's a hack you can use if you want to have your sims abducted more. If you go to snooty sims and look under programs you will find it.

My Sims have never had twins, not even through attempted cheat codes. I'm sad. If you really want twins, you could use the cheesecake cheat. Once the sim is pregnant have them make and eat some cheesecake. You need 8 cooking skill points. I've only tried it once, but it did result in boy/girl twins.

Iiiiiinteresting. I'll have to try some of these things once my exams are over and my boyfriend is out of the house (as I mentioned, Sims is on his computer).

So far, I've only had Pascal and Vidcund Curious abducted - and Daniel Dreamer, but he was too old to have a kid by then.
P.S. Thanks for the Smart Milk tips, Hamatron - I swear I'm doing everything right, but I'll try again and see if that works.
P.P.S. I have yet to even make my first Vampire. I had my Vlad Dracula befriend Count Andrew, but nothing happened. Dammit!

I'm strongly thinking about getting Sims 2 after AP exams and I was wondering which expansion pack to get (my friend will lend me her Sims 2 to install, and then I will just use the expansion pack to play). I'm trying to decide between University or Open For Business. Any advice?

I'm trying to decide between University or Open For Business. Any advice? I haven't played Open for Business, but I have played University. I think my boyfriend enjoyed University a lot more than I did -- probably because he works full-time and I am a university student. I was excited about Sims University in the beginning, but it is too much like daily life for me in some ways. The studying, semester after semester... No thanks. If you're celebrating finishing AP exams you may feel the same. But I haven't played OfB, so that's all I can tell you. Also, Nightlife has some features I liked, like being able to ask what people want to talk about (or something like that) and the attraction factor.
