Today's "Funky Winkerbean" features one character calling another a "media whore". I can't wait to see if there's any fallout from that.

Do my eyes deceive me or did Scott Adams really just kill off Asok?

Do my eyes deceive me or did Scott Adams really just kill off Asok? I dunno. I seem to recall Asok having met various fates over the years. Once I think he was barbequed, but I can't completely vouch for that.

Ahhh, I did not know that. I read Dilbert only intermittenly because I occasionally have a hard time forgetting the fact that Adams is a huge ass.

Lio is such a weird comic sometimes and it's become one of my favorites. I read that some folks in the thread have it in their newspapers - is it still there? I wish it was in one of our papers. At least we get Heart of the City, the other comic strip done by the author, in the Post. I love this.

I love Dinosaur Comics. One day's strip can be based around a silly pun (such as today's), and the next day will be a discussion of dialectical materialism, complete with Utahraptor running up and shouting his rebuttal while T-Rex stomps a tiny woman.

I just wanted to mention that Doonesbury has been especially funny this past week. BD goes to visit Mark and they have nothing in common anymore. One is gay, the other is an alpha male war hero. It's very understated but hilarious as usual. Garry Trudeau is a genius. To still be not only relevant, but funny, after all these years is a testament to his incredible talent.

I've been enjoying those strips, too, Ernestine: "I guess you could say you're hopping mad ... uh, too soon?"
