It is the last book. Probably just as well- I can't see Anne as a grandmother. Not that she'd be a bad one, just that in my head she's still a young girl. ETA: I just did a search and apparently there's (sort of) one more book. It's called The Blythes Are Quoted- Here's the info. The short stories in it were previously published as The Road To Yesterday. It was not one of my favorite collections, I must admit.

The...hell? Okay, so the book is in the public domain now and anyone can print up a copy, but they couldn't at least get a redheaded sexpot since Anne's hair color is kinda mentioned a lot in the book?

Ha! I just came here to post this. This is even worse than those faux-"Twilight" covers for Jane Austen and Bronte books. And she's not wearing puffed sleeves, either!

That's got to be Ruby Gillis tempting Gilbert Blythe to a roll in the hay.

That's got to be Ruby Gillis tempting Gilbert Blythe to a roll in the hay. I was thinking it looked more like Josie Pye trying to get all the attention.

Check out today's google doodle! It's making me all nostalgic for the books. Though is one of them supposed to be the scene when Miss Stacy comes over for dinner? Why isn't she wigging out about the mouse dying in the sauce?

I think this was the scene where Anne flavored a cake with anodyne liniment. That's why Anne turns green when she tries her piece.
