For some reason, I'm having a Sweet Valley High flashback in which Jessica tells Elizabeth (incorrectly) that Romeo and Juliet were fifteen. I don't remember which one it was.

According to some lazy sleuthing, I think it was Forbidden Love, #34, where Michael Sanchez and Maria Santelli get engaged.

Anyone else getting sick of the Death Of A series by MC Beaton? They still seem pretty popular over at sites like Amazon (although not quite as much as before). The main character Hamish has become rude and Im sick of him getting engaged and then breaking it off. Get married or stay single already. The villagers are getting overused and annoying. The books have gotten way more violent than they used to be but in a fake, unnecessary way, like the author decided "Oooh scary books are popular! I wanna be more popular!" and it's really stupid.
I personally think the books are being ghostwritten at this point, they've changed so much. If not, Beaton should just retire the series, because it used to be amazing and now is one rung above crap!

Game of Thrones is a terrible series. Not just melodramatic and overwritten, but derivative and actually boring. Reminds me of Harry Potter for the Tolkien crowd.
