I'm surprised Wing is writing another book after that trainwreck "Bad Teen Novel." I stared dumbfounded at my computer screen every time someone told her, "Oooh, it's so funny!" on FT. We all write shit when we're in high school, but who the hell actually publishes it?!
I haven't been back to FT in months. I only went there for the forums. Sounds like I haven't missed much.

Now there's Billy Bob Thornton vs. something I don't even care enough to remember. All I know is that it's really stupid, esp. after a couple of semi-decent fame audits. Is there anyone else that is totally annoyed by the Celebrity v. Thing? It makes me angry. Every time I see it I want to punch something. What is wrong w/ me?

You're disappointed that a site that was worth reading to some extent has now completely alienated their fans by both pulling the rug underneath us for one reason and blaming it on us (as if we come here solely to click on ads and suck their cocks ) and now writing complete shit and running another of their forums into the ground. So, let them bitch. Give it time and they'll have to come here and suck our cocks for a change since that's all they're good for.

Unpopular Opinion, but I had nothing but a pleasant experience on the board, but also didn't discover it until late. I stayed away from tumultuous topics -- I stayed in celeb endowments, the extensive Blind Item thread, movie lore and such. And the fall-out from the Paris Sidekick Hack was golden! Especially for the Lohan and Jessica Simpson boards -- we were all detective-y to "prove" that the emails about Lohan seeing Jess doing coke were true. I totally found lots of evidence. I was just happy to have a place to snark without it being a horrible free for all like DataLounge. But I'm so glad to have found a new home among the comfort of CPMOGers! We're so awesome! (Too many connections means that we're popular, right?) I actually liked those boards as well, which is why a lot of this is quite eye-opening - but I think I kept my head down and posted around the T.V and Movie forums where most of the rubbish didn't happen (at least, to my knowledge).

Arghhh!!
I know I shouldn't expect much, but they have a glaring, glaring article in one of the recent articles. It's the galaxy of fame for the emmys, right? So the last tidbit is from Antiques Roadshow's perspective, dissing Amazing Race, the Burnett shows, et al for not being nominated. The problem is that they were nominated -- just in a different reality category. The category is split between best reality and best reality competitive, so Antiques Roadshow doesn't compete with the likes of the Apprentice.
Just read the nominations thoroughly or pay attention to E!'s crawl...or something.
I'm so annoyed. In part because I was about to make the same mistake in the Emmy thread, but didn't. And I don't even get paid for this?!

The Galaxies used to be my favorite thing. But I've noticed that so often this same schtick is used: "Hi! I'm so-and-so! Thank you for nominating me for best supporting... Huh? What do you mean I wasn't nominated...?" And then it goes on and on from there. Funny the first time or two or three but... Give it a rest.
And, yeah, "Celebrity vs. Thing" is beyond lame.

New article on MSNBC from Tara & Sara. It was posted to Fark they're getting some pretty negative comments on their reviewing skills. Although to be honest, Fark is pretty negative all the time about everything (but very very funny). Most of what is in the article is stuff I remember reading in Fametracker's Cusak thread.

Wing's tone as a moderator has been pretty consistent over the years, even pre-Fametracker and TWoP, when she was only moderating Hissyfit. But years ago, I got into a pissy off-topic exchange with another poster and e-mailed her to apologize because she might well have banned me for it. She responded and was very nice about it, but if you think about all the e-mails like that she must have been getting once Fametracker and TWoP traffic levels started taking off, I'm not at all surprised that she stopped responding or that they implemented the warning system to keep track of problematic posters.

I don't agree with this.I just can't imagine Sela doing that part. And if she did, I bet the comic part of Susan would not have been developed.
