I was idly checking the Fame Audits over at FT, when I came upon an Audit on Jason Bateman. Love him and love Arrested Development. Is there any comedy more perverse and funny than AD? That is a sort of rhetorical question because it cannot be answered in the affirmative.
Anyway, it was a positive review (and I enjoyed it) until I reached the liabilities and I get this: What does that mean?
Are they smearing Mr. Bateman after praising him? Yeah, but with what? Corey Haim?
I've read the John Cusak (another favorite of mine) Fame Audit with the Memorable Liability: I mean, at least, with this comment, I know what they are smearing him with (his own load).
What do I not understand? And I am not talking about the mysteries of the Universe.

Funny, I was just thinking about FT this morning, because there was a Fame Audit for Helen Hunt in the paper. I have to say that confused me. Isn't Helen Hunt pretty much over? I haven't heard anything about her in at least a year. The whole thing seemed pointless.

When I saw this thread at the top of the page, I was hoping they had finally put FT out of its misery.
Damn, I was wrong.
Who's still writing there? I always liked stuff by the Man from Funkle (or whatever) but Wing and Glark? No good.

MFF did a Fame Audit on Brad and Angelina's baby. It was all right.

MFF did a Fame Audit on Brad and Angelina's baby. It was all right. Yeah, it was okay. I liked them calling it "The Infangelina." I'm hopeful it will catch on here, but I'm too afraid of the Brad Pitt thread to introduce it myself.

Brad and Angelina make me sick. But that's a topic for another thread.

I've wondered lately if they're getting ready to hang it up. The writers took a couple weeks off for the holidays, then out of the blue took another week only a few days later. I like the galaxy of fame bits and sometimes the fame audits. The celebrity vs. thing business I don't even bother with.
As for the daily polls? I always vote for what I assume is the least popular choice. And my weird reason is that everyone else seems compelled to vote for the last choice which is meant to be sort of a punch-line. Drives me nuts.

I think Glark said at Videogamey that he's going on vacation somewhere, so presumably WC is going with him.
But it wouldn't surprise me if they were getting ready to call it quits on that -- now that WC is selling FT stuff to the National Post there's really no point (that I can see, anyway) in having the site.
I really hope their page hits went waaaaay down after the forums got shut down. I go there maybe once a month now.
And celebrity vs. thing SUCKS, isn't funny, and doesn't make any sense. I think I get what they're trying to do, but it's totally random, so what's the point? At least with 2 Stars 1 Slot (which I admit I've enjoyed, because for a lot of things it's soooo true -- I can't even tell the difference between Reese Witherspoon and that other one a lot of the time) there's a basis for comparison. CvT? TOTALLY random, so not funny.
Frankly, I'm surprised they haven't shut down the forums on TWoP yet, but I wonder if after closing the FT forums they realized that the recaps probably aren't the huge draw for most people.

I've seen Celebrity vs. Thing and Hey! It's that Guy in there, I think (plus she and MFF have the book of those now too). I think there's something else she does, but I can't remember what it's called. Similar to a Fame Audit, maybe? She also does a weekly movie column with I think two other people (it has something to do with movies and pie). I'd say there's some FT content in the paper about once a week or so (I was doing media monitoring at my last job... the National Post is not really the paper I'd choose to read). She links to it on Hissyfit whenever she has something in there, usually (not that you can read it if you're not a subscriber). And I was right about them being on vacation. ...Now I feel like a creepy stalker. Should I mention that laconicboy loves Videogamey and Glark sent him some free games that laconicboy won in Glark's haiku contest?
