I was more of a lurker at FT, but I remember all of the posters you guys have mentioned. Aaaah, the good old days. Who am I kidding? I'm happier at the Greecie board! But I was devastated when the FT forums closed.

I think I probably went by downeasteralexa or some variation of that over there, but I'm not 100% sure. I mainly hung out in the Britney Spears thread. For those who frequented the Melissa Joan Hart thread, I'm also the one who was friends with her back in school and posted pictures to show how full of shit she was about her claims of being horribly unpopular.

I remember tootsmcgill too because it's an awesome username. It reminded me of a 50s detective movie or something.

I was a chamption lurker over there so I remember all of these usernames, too. Here's another one: GinaMaeBrown. Or was that from Hissyfit? I was also a champion lurker over there.

The reason I first went to Fametracker? I was messing around one night, trying to find a pic of Joe Mantegna just to randomly email to my brother. I found a link to his H!ITG page. I was like, "What...is this?" Then I read the Fame Audit of Michael Jackson, and that was the end of that.

It was a while before I ended up in the forums, but once I did that....WOW. To people not in-the-know, I still call this "The New FT." Because CPMCOG would require too much explanation.

Nuh uh! Intelligent political discussion Yes, snark, No! Snark isn't civilized enough for that board. And I'm not putting them down, believe me. But for instance, if someone there dared to say that Britney Spears looks like a hag lately, there would probably be an outcry of how shallow it is to judge a woman by her looks.

And back to topic -- What's up with Fametracker lately? They've had the same lame Oscar re-hash on the front page since last week. Have they abandoned it altogether? Are they forgetting about movie celebs to focus on their obsession with television? (Which I don't watch, which means that's it for me.)
