Not a TWoP-level crazy fan. I watched Buffy, but never posted about it because I am on the west coast, and by the time an episode ended there were already 20 pages on it. Why do you ask?

I loved Danny Drennan's 90210 recaps. He was always very gracious when I sent him e-mails telling him how much he made me laugh. I had no idea until this week that there was a connection between him and the TWOP folks.

I thought Jill (the diva) Stempel stopped doing The Sleaze because she got sued for saying/implying/hinting that some celebrity or other was gay.

I heard it was because she was making everything in her columns up; claiming she was at a certain party when she wasn't, stuff like that. I hadn't heard the suing story. Now I'm curious again.

Also curious about what will happen with Fametracker now that it's part of the TWoP-Bravo deal. I can't imagine they're getting much traffic since the forums are gone.

As many of you, I found Fametracker through a more formal media website that mentioned some Fame Audit (I can't remember anything else, though.)
I lurked there for a long time before subscribing (I think I was tennisfan there too), but I was totally scared of them banning me or giving me a smackdown if I didn't use the proper spelling of words or wasn't funny enough for their standards, and since English is not my first language, I'd rather read.
Then the big meltdown occurred and I followed you all, but here I feel better to share my not incredibly funny comments. So thanks y'all, Greecies!

I still go to Fametracker from time to time, but the articles are not that good anymore. I think they took a lot of ideas from the forums, and now that source of creativity is over for them.

If they do reopen the forums at Fametracker (unlikely, I'm sure), I won't be returning there. While I don't post much here (and didn't there, either), this forum is a vast improvement. The Greecie forums are welcoming and friendly whereas the Fametracker forums were rude, full of too much ass-kissing and cliques, and too much squeeing, not to mention the arbitrary mod decisions. I haven't been back to that place since they closed it and I never read their other stuff.

Oh, the squeeing! It was almost as bad as the HoYay! If FT taught me anything, it was that squealing heterosexual women who think two men are Gettin' Gay for Gals are equally as annoying as heterosexual men who think that lesbians muff-dive for men's pleasure.

With Jill Stempel, all I remember is towards the end her columns were less and less frequent and I think I remember her asking for donations to keep the column going. She just sounded really stressed. I would be disappointed to hear she made it all up cuz it was great reading.

Anyone else remember Mr. Showbiz? I think it was on eonline and I remember they got into this big feud with Ben Affleck and Affleck called them "chowderheads" on his website.

Like tennisfan, I was a lurker at FT forever, but never got the nerve to post because of the mod smackdowns. I came here after the meltdown and lurked forever until I got the nerve to start posting. I still don't post a whole lot, but I enjoy this place immensely and have never went back to FT.
