I'm so torn--I know one person in my town who is REALLY into this, but all the people I really want to watch it with are online, and it would be really weird to have online chats while someone else is there.
ETA: and the one local friend I have is out of town that night. Online discussion it is!

Can I get an invite to the FITA viewing party? I can't wait! I have my popcorn, going to get vodka, because what's a V.C. Andrews experience without drinking? I'm thinking of rereading the book. Especially after I saw this article. I wish they would do Heaven. That's my favorite book by Andrews, I simply love Heaven, and it's sequels, all except when they get to Annie. Can't stand Annie. However, I am very sure that Fanny would translate very well on screen. We should start a petition. That article has a color picture of V.C.! She's real! And she doesn't look like Grandmother.

Same here! I'm planning on some kind of snack food and showing no shame when asked what I'm doing Saturday night. If they can't understand the classic cheesefest this promises to be, it'll be their loss.

Oh man, reading the article Queena linked to makes me want to go back and read all of them. I loved Heaven but I think my favorite was My Sweet Audrina. That was seriously twisted. OK, they all were. I really want to read them all. Tonight.

My Sweet Audrina was my favorite as well. That's the one that really needs to be adapted for TV--preferably HBO or Showtime.

Yes! They have to show Vera scraping up her miscarriage from the carpet, flinging it on her mother, screaming, "This was my ticket out of here" <sic>. Good times.

I really want to read them all. Tonight. I had the same exact feeling. I almost fired up the Kindle and started FITA, then I remembered that I've read it about 20 times, and I want to go into this fresh! I don't want to overly analyze it, which is what I would do if the book was fresh in my mind. That was the most wonderful article on Andrews. Ever.

The also must show Vera breaking her leg....over and over again! Vera was such a bitch. However, she has NOTHING on Fanny! Fanny was my girl! I would love to see her on the big or small screen.

So, can we have a thread for the movie? We can all meet up here with our snacks, vodka (I'm drinking vodka), and our sarcasm and snark on what's right and wrong with the movie. Kaleidoscope Eyes and I are planning on discussing it over the internet while we watch it. We would love to do it here, with everyone else. The more snark, the better! Mods, can we? I don't want to start a thread if we're not allowed to.
You would think I've been visiting TWOP with all of the usage of the word snark, but I haven't. I swear!
