Started Mr. Mercedes this morning and am already 1/3 of the way through it. Definitely his most entertaining work since 11/22/63. Although some of the comments above about tears are intriguing / mystifying.
I also just read that David E. Kelley (Ally McBeal, Boston Legal, The Practice, Chicago Hope, Picket Fences, Doogie Howser, M.D. is writing a limited series of the book. A good sign.

I just finished Revival. Like almost all of his books, once they grab me I can't put them down. Having said that, it's nowhere near as compelling as his last four books (Under the Dome, 11/22/63, Doctor Sleep and Mr. Mercedes).

Yeah, Revival didn't thrill me like his other recent ones have. The bad guy, well, he wasn't bad enough. Not that interesting, just obsessed with electricity. Pfft. Here's hoping his next one is better!

Here's hoping his next one is better! Yeah, I actually liked Jamie's whole story, but the Reverend was a disappointment. As to his next, did we know Mr. Mercedes is going to be a trilogy? I'm excited: Link

I just finished Revival as well. I found it a little on the light side, especially for a King book but really evocative of the different time periods, nonetheless.

I finished Finders Keepers, the Mr. Mercedes sequel, last night. I liked it a lot. Some of the elements that make it a sequel don't reveal themselves til almost mid-book, but I enjoyed the new characters introduced. And he sure did set up the third book in the trilogy in a very creepy way.
