I really can't see how he swept her off her feet when he didn't even have money to buy a broom.

This is priceless. I actually agree with you, zacandmax, about Terry's questionable judgement. She had too much to lose to be "swept off her feet" but I still feel for her and hope all turns out well.

I also think that wealthy women have to pay for companionship in one way or another, so they should set the terms upfront for what they want and how much will be paid instead of "falling in love" with and marrying hustlers and golddiggers and paying more than they should in the end. Being practical about matters, even matters of the heart, saves a lot of pain and aggravation.

I was reading a few things Terri said in one of those links provided:

"I’m insulted and humiliated that he was able to get away with this without having a shred of evidence. The bottom line is this, he’s the one who’s gay. He’s the one who withheld this knowledge and information from me. He’s the one who has tried to hurt and sabotage my entire life and disrupt it. I am insulted. I am pissed off, is what I am. Why would he be in prison.... has he broken any laws???

She went on to say:

“I don’t care about him being gay, but he risked my life. What if I’m sitting here HIV positive. I can’t get rid of that. And he wants my money? He should get a job. That’s all I have to say.”

Umm I kinda agree with this statement. She's angry and hurt which is understandable.
When I found out that my living in bf of 2 years was cheating on me WITH A WOMAN.. the first thing i said to him, "you risked my life, get the fock out"...(I cried EVERYWHERE for the next 2 months) ----I then proceded to get tested for every STD under the sun ( i was ok).

But I'm wondering if Terri's concern regarding HIV is BECAUSE he's gay/bi?? Would she have that same concern if he had cheated with a woman? I think many people think HIV when gay loving is involved... which i think is ignorant and irresponsible.

I know, that's why I find this whole thing schadenfreude-licious. It also used to crack me up how she'd talk about her "hot" young husband. Um, I'm sorry, but he busted. He clearly knew how to lay it down, though, so he probably earned every cent that he's asking for.

I think YonkersChik hit the nail on the head - he could have HIV whether he was a cheatin' gay man or a cheatin' straight man. For her to bring that up in the way that she did - as an extra reason to be angry - is homophobic.

I think the funny part is her saying that he's stupid and she wants everyone to know just how stupid he is - he's so stupid he got a rich woman to write a book about how he changed her life and convinced her he was straight for nearly 10 years, living the life of Riley - yeah, Terry, he's the stupid one.

I can see how she did not know. Because she was so caught up in her own greatness and so smug that she snagged a younger man, and thinking that she is the shit. Being so involved with herself and the things she thought was important to her, she didn't even see that her man was gay. I'm sure there were signs. She is just to self absorbed to see them.

So, was her husband actually cheating on her with other men, or not? Didn't he say in the GMA interview that he never cheated on her? Do you people think he's telling the truth?

Oh God, of course she cares. She wouldn't be so humiliated by all of this if it wasn't about his repressed homosexuality.

I want to know if she genuinely thinks/has evidence he was cheating on her with men or if she just said that, because hello, you actually have to have sex or something to get HIV.

I've seen snippets of her in the past few days -- she may be "very, very intelligent," but. she. is. also. alley.

I still say, though, that, were I him, I wouldn't want to tangle with this menopausal woman. He signed a pre-nup, he doesn't deserve a penny more than what he agreed on, I don't care what.
