Completely agree. She's never done anything overtly offensive, unless you count marrying Jesse James, but I've always found her completely bland and charm free. People rave about her girl-next door image, and scorching chemistry with Keanu, but I don't see any of it. She's just average. I don't think she has the talent to back up her career. Her Oscar win is one of the most egregious mistakes in my lifetime. I can't put my finger on it, but something about her if just off. And I found her adoption of Louis suspect when all that stuff with JJ went down. Yes, I know the adoption was already in the works when he was exposed as a Nazi enthusiast, but it seemed awfully convenient and impeccable p.r. to pose with her Taylor Swift gives me the same vibe. They both come off as a bit contrived. But no doubt they are both successful role models. new black child on the cover of People to squash even a hint of suspicion that she may also be racist.

She looks great in the People magazine article, however you feel about her it is darn nice to see women still receiving roles in Hollywood.

I thought The Blind Side was very Lifetime movie-ish, plus it was about football, so huge strike against it there for me. I didn't think it was an Oscar movie, or an Oscar performance. But Hollywood likes Sandra, so they wanted to give her one, I guess. Although they like Harrison Ford and he never got one, so there's that.

However, you can't blame her for the movie being white savioury. It's a true story and she played the role.

I also think counting a strike against her because her ex was an asshole is stretching it. Who hasn't dated - or even married - an asshole? If your sister dated a jerk and then divorced him, do you dislike your sister? Seems a little unfair to judge her for making the same kind of bad decision millions of regular women make.

My reason for liking Sandra is simple. She keeps making entertaining movies. So many actors start making pretenious, Oscar-bait movies when they hit it big and give up the fun movies like "The Heat", "The Proposal", etc. She is one of the few A-list actors that I will watch anything she is in. And I pretend her Oscar is for "Hope Floats", which is one of my favorite movies.
