It's funny, I used to wonder how someone became a YouTube star/celebrity, but now I realize I'm a fan of a few channels, so I guess that's how! Honest Guide Prague - I haven't been to Prague so I can't vouch for the host's opinions, but he's super enthusiastic and likable. Strictly Dumpling - This guy is living his BEST life traveling and vlogging about awesome food around the world. Do not watch if you're hungry. French Cooking Academy - One of the most relaxing channels ever.

I'm a huge fan of the Alex French Guy Cooking, Pro Home Kitchen (formerly The Brothers Green) and Binging With Babish.

Within the past few months I’ve gotten addicted to Bon Appetit’s YouTube Channel. They make the recipes pretty accessible to the home cook. There is the assumption though that this is not the viewers first time at the stove. But what really attracts me to the channel are the chefs. They’re all very natural and relaxed in front of the camera and they all seem to get along rather well. They film in Bon Appetit’s test kitchen. So while they’re filming, other chefs are working on other stations and they will interact with them, not in a scripted way but asking them to taste something or just goof around. Some chef’s have their own series. One chef’s series is called It’s Alive, where he ferments things. Another chef is blindfolded and has to reverse engineer a famous chef’s dish simply by tasting it. One of the best series is called Gourmet Makes where a chef has to make a gourmet version of basically every kids’ favorite junk food growing up, like Twinkies, Pop Rocks, Lucky Charms cereal, etc. Another good series is Making Perfect, where they get all the chef’s together and they have to make the perfect dish or meal. They break the dish or meal into components. The first series was making the perfect pizza, which was broken up into dough, sauce, cheese, meat and toppings. The second series was making the perfect thanksgiving dinner, which was broken up into the components of turkey and cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes, stuffing, sides, and desserts. There are also just stand alone videos where they make dishes featured in the magazine or recipes they developed. The Making Perfect series is probably a good place to start if you’re interested because it features most of the chefs. I’m also a big fan of Gourmet Makes because oftentimes, recreating these foods is harder than it looks and I find it fascinating to watch her problem solve until she gets it right which, a lot of times, requires her to demolish kitchen utensils!
