Not YouTube, but since my daughter is home from college, and obsessed with hedgehogs, she showed me this TikTok vid which I find oddly mesmerizing. |

We had a hedgehog, cute, built like a table, dumber than a box of rocks. Their survival mechanism was so good (roll into a ball of spikes) that, like sharks, they never had to bother evolving.
My favorite quote was from The Encyclopedia Britannica, “The hedgehog is remarkable in its lack of intelligence.”
Bingo.

When I found out hamsters exist in the wild I was blown away, having had several as pets they are dumber than a bag of hammers and don't have spikes!

I keep walking in on my mom and brother watching it, and then I join them, and we laugh and laugh. It's just the weirdest video. I observed recently that some families pray together, but we watch this video. If you haven't seen it, it features a taxidermied moose and a light up codepiece! Things are going to get better, I think and I hope, but for any Greecie who needs some absurdity, here ya go!
