And I...gotta disagree with just about all of them. Hayden Panettiere as the Wakefield twins? No way. Too short. And even though her curvy body is perfectly fine, Jessica would call her a fattie.

Zac Efron as Todd? Meh, I can kinda see it. But I always imagined that Todd has a really wide dumb/violent streak, and I don't see that in Efron. And Todd really, really cares about whales. Does Zac?


Ellen Page as Lila? I think she can nail the snarkiness and would be great at rolling her eyes at all the silly shenanigans at SVH, but Lila's got style. Ellen Page is kinda awkward and absolutely doesn't know how to wear a dress - she always looks like she doesn't know what to do with her body when she's in a dress. Lila knows how to wear clothes, and she never looks awkward.

Yes. But according to a photographer that she goes to see when wanting to jump start her modeling career, in photographs? She'd look "flat-faced".

I swear I haven't read on of these books in almost 20 years, why do I remember this stuff? I also remember that she was wearing a turquoise blouse with a bow, and a cream colored suit. Because isn't that how ALL teens dressed in the 80's?

I often wondered if the ghost writers were fucking with us with some of this stuff. Like they would write out the description of Jessica's sateen jumpsuit which she wore to school, and then take another shot of tequila and laugh themselves sick.

I always thought of the SVH gang as so much older, so I wonder if a 90210-style approach to casting would work. I also thought Chad McQueen was a dead ringer for Jeffrey French.
