Unfortunately, I had to stop reading Dlisted years ago. The overwhelming amount of ads made the site impossible to navigate. I would just sit there waiting for a post to load, and when I finally gave up and tried to leave the site, my browser would be frozen and it would take me 10 minutes to leave. It was really frustrating and I soon stopped trying.
It's a shame because I did think the content was really funny.

D Listed will say goodbye on June 30th. I am really sad about this. DListed was part of the the early aughts websites that really shaped how I view pop culture (in addition to to Fametracker, TWOP and of course, this wonderful CPMOG community)! It's the end of an era

I still read DListed through Feedly, even though Michael K took a big step back quite a while ago. Some of his nicknames, like Basement Baby and Rojo Caliente, stick with me.
There was this dumb story in InTouch or something 10 years ago that Charlize Theron rolled her eyes at Tia Mowry in SoulCycle, and he ran with that for weeks. He was like, ok so Charlize Theron has won awards and been on magazine covers but Tia Mowry was in a sitcom with Jackee Harry so we know she was just jealous.

I'm really sad about this too even though it's been years since I read it regularly. It was a daily part of my life for a long time though. I drifted away when he brought on more contributing writers because they seemed to try to imitate his style but were not as good. It's hard to believe it's been 18 years, so I don't blame him for wanting to move on.

Gutted that D-listed will say goodbye but understand and it's probably a positive thing. Even though the site's design and ads were like a nightmare from Web 1.5 or something, the commenters and writers were a breath of fresh in a topsy-turvy world where none of this ish matters anyway. Coco T's "labia-copter" lives in both my dreams and my nightmares. RIP D-listed.

DListed is one of my daily go-to websites. I'll miss it but with Discord and Reddit, maybe the blog-style site with too many ads doesn't have much of a place in the web landscape anymore. I hope Michael K gets to do bigger and better things now.
I've lurked for years but never made an account. I don't think I could ever hang with the commenters anyway.

I still checked Dlisted regularly (it was almost like a reflex when I got up in the morning lol) and there was some speculation that there was ad-blocker issues and copyright infringements that contributed to the demise but who knows. I also agree that after 18 years, Michael K was probably just done and wanted to move on! I don't blame him, especially in this new landscape with social media. There is a Reddit thread that has been started though if anyone wants to migrate there.

Yeah, it was obviously limping along in the last few years, but I always liked dlisted. It was funny and didn't take itself so seriously. The other gossip sites and forums often fall into this pseudo-intellectual nonsense and tend to be way too self-serious about it all. It's not that deep and we're all participating, so we don't have any moral high ground anyway. ;-) The fake outrage and mob mentality on many other platforms is off-putting. Or perhaps I'm just getting old...
Lainey rebranding herself as whatever, for example, never worked for me tbh. She's doing the same crap she did before, just now with buzzwords to justify it. It's okay to say that it's just gossip and you and your readers are indulging in it.

No clue on the format though, like if there'll be actual posts or just, 'here's the gossip headline, have at it.' But all the banned users are back so that should be fun for the new mods.
